The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, March 23 – Sad Mariah Looks Ahead To Life Without Tessa – Phyllis Has A Proposal For Nick

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, March 23, tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will prepare for a life without Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). As Y&R viewers know, Mariah has totally struck out two times as she’s tried to apologize to Tessa – first on the private jet, and then again at a concert venue in front of a huge crowd. It was pretty humiliating for Mariah when Tessa turned her back and walked off stage, and that will take a while to get over.

It looks like Mariah will start to think that it’s hopeless and that Tessa will never come around. In fact, she might even consider taking that lucrative job in Chicago after all. She doesn’t particularly want to be away from Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) right at this time, but perhaps she’ll figure that she needs a fresh start and a new life somewhere else.

The good news here is that ongoing Y&R spoilers indicate that Tessa will eventually find forgiveness in her heart. Perhaps she’ll realize that Mariah has forgiven her for a lot in the past, and that it’s her turn to be understanding. Or maybe time itself will help put Mariah’s actions into perspective. Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) might even be able to get through to Tessa as they continue on their tour.

Meanwhile, on Monday’s new episode of the Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will pay Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) a little visit. As Y&R viewers know, Phyllis and Nick have been sleeping together recently, yet they’ve insisted to each other that they’ve gotten it all out of their system.

But now that Summer Newman (Hunter King) has realized that her parents are back together at least in some sense, it looks like she’s going to confront Phyllis about it, since Monday’s Y&R spoilers indicate that Phyllis will want to talk to Nick about how they should handle this situation. At any rate, it looks like Summer will be concerned for her mom and dad, since they haven’t ever really survived as a couple in the past.

But, Phyllis might fire back at Summer that she really has no basis to judge when she’s in a serious relationship with a currently married man. Summer desperately wants Nick and Phyllis to accept her relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but she might at least initially be wary to accept that her mom and dad are together again.

Well, the Young and the Restless spoilers say that Phyllis will want to talk with Nick about what to do in light of Summer’s pushback. But it seems that Nick will fire back that there’s nothing to do because they aren’t actually back together. From there, it seems that Phyllis will change the subject to a more business-oriented topic – she’ll want to discuss a collaboration between her hotel and Newman Enterprises.

Interestingly, it seems that Nick will be a bit deflated that Phyllis shifted topics so readily and didn’t defend their relationship as more of a “relationship.” He’ll seem a bit down as he says that he’s open to the notion of Phyllis’ proposal for their two respective entities. And as Phyllis leaves the meeting, she’ll be smugly satisfied to have noticed Nick’s disappointment.
