The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday September 9: The Grand Phoenix Opening Begins, Phyllis Crashes The Party, and Mariah Suspicious of Theo

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday September 9th indicate that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) prepare for The Grand Phoenix opening, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) plans to crash the party, and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) continues to have issues with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson).

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are sitting on the patio at Crimson Lights, discussing the opening of The Grand Phoenix. Victor says he isn’t feeling well. Inside the coffee house Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is talking with Phyllis and tells her about the pills. Phyllis voices her concerns over Adam’s plan, but he dismisses it and says it’s what Victor deserves for trying to run him over.

Meanwhile, outside Victor complains of being weak and Nikki goes to get him some water. Adam goes out to the patio to see what’s going on and Victor orders him to leave. Nikki tells Adam that his presence is upsetting Victor and Adam goes to leave and tells Victor he’s sorry he’s not feeling well. Adam rejoins Phyllis and is surprised the pills are working so fast. Phyllis wants to know if Adam’s having second thoughts about his plan, but he assures her he’s not.

Nate arrives at the ranch to give an examination and asks to see the blood test results. After Nate leaves, Victor insists on going to the grand opening, but Nikki shuts it down. She says they’re staying home and she’ll have the chef prepare dinner, but Victor can’t remember his favorite dish. Later in the evening, Victor and Nikki are slow dancing when Victor has another spell. He goes to lay down, leaving behind a worried Nikki.

At his penthouse, Adam reminds Phyllis he has no regrets over switching Victor’s medication. Phyllis bets that Adam will change his mind if Victor’s condition gets worse. Phyllis says if she’s right, Adam has to stop this vendetta against his family. Adam thinks Phyllis doesn’t want him going after Nick.

Phyllis says she’s concerned about her daughter Summer Newman (Hunter King) and doesn’t want her in the chaos. Adam says he plans to win and that Phyllis will have to pay up when he declares victory. Later when Adam is alone, he stares at a photo of Victor before tearing it up.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kola Get Ready For Grand Phoenix Party

At their apartment, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) are getting ready for the party. Kyle’s upset when he can’t find his tie, but Lola suspects his frustrations are more about Theo than the tie. The couple starts to make out before Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) comes knocking at the door. Lola ends their make out session and let Rey in. Talk turns to the grand opening and Lola says Rey might meet someone at the party, but Rey is doubtful.

Elena Lawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) arrive at Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse. The two have a drink and chat for a bit before Nate leaves to prepare for Abby’s party. Elena then starts to get ready and can’t wait to show her dress to Devon.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) stops by Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) place and the two talk about their daughter Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) going to boarding school. They then discuss Abby’s party, and Nick talks about Chelsea. He says that he hopes eventually Sharon and Chelsea can be friends. Sharon says that’s far-fetched, but says she’s happy they’re back together for Nick’s sake.

At the park, Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) meet with Theo and his influences. Theo makes a comment about Mariah managing Tessa’s music career. Mariah tells the influencers to go to the boutique to buy dresses for the party. Theo remarks that he and Mariah make a great team, and as he’s leaving he gives Mariah a kiss on the cheek. After he leaves, Mariah tells Tessa she doesn’t trust Theo.

Abby and Chelsea are at the Grand Phoenix talking about the big night. The two women play a game of pool, then talk about Phyllis. Zoe Hardisty (Anna Grace Barlow) arrives at the same time as Theo and Summer, and Zoe isn’t happy to see Summer. Nick is the next to arrives and he compliments Chelsea on her hard work with the hotel. Sharon comes in and congratulates Abby on the hotel. Rey then arrives and greets Sharon.

When Kyle and Lola arrive, Theo comes up to them and comments that he hopes the party isn’t too wild for them. Kyle warns Theo to not cause any trouble, then heads to the dance floor with Lola. Throughout the night, Theo is taking photos with Zoe and Summer, then tells his influencers to give them some privacy. The two share a kiss as Zoe looks on. Zoe tells them that she has to leave because she has a job to do.

Devon and Elena are chatting with Mariah and Tessa when Elena notices Nate’s not there. Across the room, Nick compliments Abby on The Grand Phoenix, and Abby says she must give Phyllis some credit for her work with the hotel. Sharon chats with Mariah and Tessa and brings up her plan to go on a trip. Nate arrives and tells Abby that Victor had a setback, but not to worry.

As the party’s about to begin, Phyllis enters the room and everyone’s attention is on her. Phyllis offers her congratulations to Abby and Chelsea and says they did a good job with the hotel. As Phyllis is leaving, she eavesdrops on Devon and Elena’s conversation about Chance being the one challenging Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will.

Zoe is looking at the pitchers filled with Grand Sangrias and when everyone’s attention turns to Theo who drops a glass, Zoe spikes the drinks with drugs.
