The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Nate Hasting (Sean Dominic) seems to be infatuated with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) even though he seems to be currently dating Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). It’s been a strange turn of events, and one that we haven’t really understood.

Nate used to be a respected doctor, and within the last year or so they have turned him into a cheating loser who thinks he can walk into a completely new industry and start running everything from the first day. It’s been an odd change, and one that I don’t think a lot of us are behind. Was he too squeaky clean for the writers?

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is always lurking over his children, and when it comes to Victoria and Newman Enterprises, he may be the biggest rain cloud she has. He is constantly getting involved with the business and her decisions, and now, he may also be questioning just what is going on with Nate.
Victor will find out what’s been happening behind the office doors and want to know every detail of what is going through Victoria’s mind, especially after someone like Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) just played her like a fiddle while trying to take control of the company from her. Could Nate be interested in the same thing?

Could Nate actually have his mind set on something else, like taking over the company from Victoria or finding a way to weasel himself in even more? Victor will probably think so, and there’s no hiding from Victor once you’ve pissed him off. Nate might want to sleep with one eye open from now on.
Of course, Victoria will try to defend it, and claim that she loves Nate and that he is not using her for a boost in his newfound career, but it will fall on deaf ears. We think that Victor could even plant cameras in the office, just to make sure that there is no funny business going on that he doesn’t like. The real question is, why did they change Nate so drastically and could he be a new threat?

But I do not believe that he actually thinks he is bad enough to take over Newman, maybe he thinks Victoria will let him be top dog in a division of the enterprise?
