The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that there will still be a lot of people left devastated over the sudden passing of a Genoa City favorite, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). Both of his children Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Cane (Christel Khalil) will have a hard time picking up the pieces after their father’s death.

This hasn’t been the easiest year for them and with Neil gone, both will feel as though they’ve lost that one person who has always given them guidance in their lives. Here’s what you need to know.

Devon will be hit the hardest by this death. Co-executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith tells Soaps in Depth in an interview, “Devon, in particular, will face great difficulty in coping with Neil’s death so soon after losing Hilary and their unborn child.”

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Neil’s Death Hits Devon Hard

As a matter of fact, his mourning might cause some havoc between him and his budding romance with newcomer Elena (Brytni Sarpy). Griffith added, “He will question if he is ready to move on romantically.”

Also, fans can expect to see Cane (Daniel Goddard) give his wife Lily Winters a much-needed hand during this devastating time in her life. After all, she has been impacted by these deaths as much as her brother, Devon. She was the one who had to spend time behind bars for Hilary’s death as well. And with her decision to divorce Cane and Neil’s sudden death, Lily might easily have a breakdown in the coming weeks. That’s why Cane wants to be there to give her all of the love and support she needs during this difficult time in her life.
