The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that This Is Us star and Y&R alum Justin Hartley (ex-Adam Newman) is tied to a new television show titled The Never Game.

According to Deadline the actor is set to executive produce with Ken Olin and will play Colter Shaw. The project is based on the book The Never Game by Jeffrey Deaver.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Justin Hartley Played Adam Newman

Jeffery Deaver’s 2019 novel, The Never Game, should make for exciting television for fans of the former daytime heartthrob.

Hartley will star in the potential first season and Olin is set to direct the project. Hartley’s ChangeUp Productions and Olin’s Afterportsmouth Productions will create and produce the series via the groups deals at 20th Television.

It is being reported that Michael Cooney will write the adaptation script from the book and will also take on an executive producer role along with Hartley and Olin. Other producers include Roxy Olin, Head of Afterportsmouth Productions, and Julianna LaRosa, Head of ChangeUp Productions.

Y&R Spoilers – There Is A New Project For Justin Hartley

The Never Game will show Hartley’s character Colter Shaw as he crisscrosses the country in an old-school RV. His mission? He is dedicated to helping the authorities and citizens solve crimes and locate missing persons.

But his latest case is personal and it could be the death of him! Shaw will do anything it takes, including risking his own life, to save the victims of the case. But while he is solving the crime he discovers that someone is on to him and will also do anything to silence him.  Hartley’s character Shaw is a complicated person described as being raised by survivalists off the grid.

The Never Game is what Shaw’s father called their lifestyle before he was murdered. Prior to this Shaw and his siblings were taught by their parents how to survive in the harshest conditions.

Fans can also catch Hartley as Kevin Pearson on This Is Us, now in its fifth season.  The role of Adam Newman is now being played by Mark Grossman who has put his own impeccable take on the complex black sheep character. At the moment Adam is torn between love and duty and he still hasn’t given up the chip on his shoulder concerning his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
