The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Contemplated A Change Of Scenery
Nick contemplated a change of scenery as he talked about his family issues with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) while at Crimson Lights; she was surprised to hear it. Nick was never one to care about suits and board meetings and had always stayed away from Newman Enterprises, instead choosing to go his own way. But suddenly Nick seems to be doing a turnaround, and contemplating the business world after all these years which is a shock to Sharon!
Nick wants to help his sister though and get her away from Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and he’s thinking the best way would be to go to New York City. Victor has other ideas, however, and wants him to help out at home!
Y & R Spoilers – Nick Newman Goes To New York City At His Sister’s Request
Nick is shocked when Victoria texts him to meet her in New York City – she has things to discuss with him, and although he’s shocked, he’s glad. Victor had wanted him to go as a spy, but he is going as hopefully, a protector; he hopes he can convince her that she’s being deceived. But first, he wants to see how deep she has herself into trouble because he doesn’t want to alienate her again; in the meanwhile, he knows Victor quashed her investors! Victor had told him that she and Ashland would hit a brick wall with any new business venture, he just wasn’t sure how he planned to do it! Nick figures Victor has had Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and others of his men investigating Victoria behind her back as well as Ashland!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Wants Nick Newman To Work With Her
Nick goes to the meeting place Victoria has told him to meet at, a small café similar to Crimson Lights and they talk. Victoria wants Nick to work with her, and he assumes it’s in a new business with Ashland but he soon learns that she’s got her own agenda. Victoria has gotten Ashland to put up the $250 million dollars he has left from what Victor and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) paid him for “Destiny Media”.
What Ashland doesn’t know, she explains, is that her new corporate bank account for the company doesn’t have his name on it! Ashland thinks he has controlling interest equal to hers in the new company but he doesn’t – Nick smiles!

Victoria and Nick have always kept secrets from their parents together, but usually not ones of this importance; Victor was surprised that Nick told him he’d heard from Victoria. But Nick’s telling their father that he’d heard from her and his telling him about the business meetings weren’t in the function of a company spy! He was speaking as a concerned brother to a concerned father letting him know she was okay and had plans to make money! Victoria implores Nick to leave Dad out of this and not tell him what she was doing. No doubt he would be proud of her for doing so but she is asserting her independence and has a mind of her own!

Love that Victoria is turning to Nick for help. Have always appreciated the sibling chemistry between these two. I had suspected that Victoria had other plans and was not leaving her family behind. This paved the way for her and Billy too. Billy did not stand in her way and that’s a big thing to Victoria.
