The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates indicate that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is set to make a covert visit to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). He is  likely to negotiate his own arrangement regarding Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).

Victor Won’t Come To An Agreement With Jack, And Send Him Away With Matt

In the week of January 12-16, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will decline to come to an agreement with Jack and will send him away from the property along with Matt.

To be fair, Victor has more pressing matters to consider-such as the AI program that is activating within Newman Enterprises and wreaking havoc from the inside. Given that Victor has lost control over the software, he’s not really in a position to trade it for Matt anyway.

At some point, Nick will receive news about Matt being under the Abbotts’ care. Once Nick learns the full details, he’ll choose to take control of the situation and manage it in his own way.

Nick May Leave The Hospital Against Medical Advice

Even though the doctors haven’t authorized Nick’s discharge yet, he might choose to leave the hospital against medical advice.

Nick is eager to confront the Matt situation and rectify things, so he plans to meet with Jack shortly. It seems this meeting will take place without Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) knowing, as Nick intends to keep something from her on January 15.

Sharon could discover Nick missing from his hospital bed and eventually come to the realization that he has left to resolve this matter once and for all.

Following that, Nick will make a heartfelt appeal to Jack-according to Y&R spoilers, Nick will plead with Jack for help, hoping they can align their efforts.

Nick Wants Matt’s Threat Eliminated Immediately

Nick might argue that they need to eliminate Matt’s threat immediately before he has the opportunity to pull off any more outrageous acts.

He may be concerned that prison won’t suffice and insist that Matt deserves a harsher punishment; on the other hand, it’s possible that Nick has gained some wisdom from the car crash incident.

Dealing with Matt without involving the authorities hasn’t been very effective, so Nick might urge Jack to proceed with turning Matt over to the police.

Naturally, there’s a possibility that Matt could escape again if there’s a significant delay-Matt is always full of surprises, so it will be intriguing to see if more alarming developments are on the horizon.

In any case, Nick might attempt to negotiate his own deal regarding Matt with Jack, especially since the AI program exchange might no longer be an option.
