But, why is it that everyone in town seems to think Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has the answers to all of their problems?

Sure, she’s been to the school of hard knocks, and has gone to school as well as worked on a crisis hotline, but does anyone care that she’s not a licensed and trained professional, let alone that she’s fighting for her own life?

Y&R Spoilers: Sharon Newman Needs A Distraction

Sharon wants her life to be as normal as possible while she undergoes chemo for breast cancer. The people around her have nothing but admiration and love for Sharon, but as is the case with all of us, we’re only human and sometimes don’t see the forest for the trees.

This may be the case behind Nikki recommending that Sharon counsel Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) who is currently in bad shape physically and emotionally.

There’s no doubt she needs support, but some professional assistance may be more helpful than what Sharon can provide.

Victoria is a mess after dumping her non-husband, then being stabbed by a psycho maniac. Her doctor says she’s experiencing PTSD among other things.

Nikki thinks that Sharon is just what Victoria needs, but Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was the voice of reason, saying he would buy the best help out there for his little girl. Nikki wasn’t convinced and planned to present the idea to Sharon.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Will Sharon Newman Say No?

It just seems that with Sharon going through chemo she should be focused on her own recovery and using every ounce of strength to heal. Which doesn’t mean she can’t be a friend to Victoria. But should she serve as a counselor responsible for Victoria’s recovery as well? That seems like a bit of a stretch, if not downright dangerous to the health of both women. Both Sharon and Victoria deserve the very best professional help and the time and space to work on themselves.
