Y&R spoilers reveal that Sally was admitted to the hospital and went through surgery. When Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) emerged from the operating room, Adam was anxious to get answers. While Sally was expected to make a full recovery, the baby could not be saved.

In the weekly promo clip, Adam is sitting by Sally’s hospital bed. Sally screams out in agony after finding out her baby is dead. As Sally screams and cries, she tells Adam that she wants her baby back. Of course, that is impossible but understandable.

Adam is already devastated about Elena’s bombshell. However, Adam is trying to stay strong for Sally. So, when Sally blames Adam for the death of their daughter, it hits close to home. Adam lost a child before and was also responsible for the death of Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) daughter.

So, when Sally blames Adam for the baby’s death, he could really take this hard. Sally most likely doesn’t mean what she is saying. Sally is grief-stricken and probably also in shock. It’s normal for grief to make people assign blame, even if it doesn’t make much sense to others.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor will gain a new perspective on Adam. So, maybe seeing Adam’s devastation and heartache could change the dynamic between them a bit. Victor might even see warning signs of Adam dealing with his grief in unhealthy ways.

While Adam has difficult relationships with his family, he does have a support network. Sally doesn’t, though. Sally does have a limited family, but not in Genoa City. Sally also isn’t the most well-liked person in town.

With Sally’s intense agony, could Nikki step in to offer unexpected support? Even though Nikki has never liked or trusted Sally, she certainly never wanted the baby to die. After all, the baby was a Newman.
