Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) have been testing the soapy waters for months on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Now, as a result, circumstances involving a fierce winter storm, it appears as though ‘Phick’ is back on. The romantic re-connection at Nick’s home is real and has been coming for a while.

References to old chemistry and the new perspective they’ve gained since last breaking up in late-spring 2019 should be taken on face value. Gina Tognoni’s (Phyllis) edition of Phyllis was replaced by Stafford’s returning version in June.

So, viewers have been preparing to see the Morrow-Stafford pairing reconnect, as they haven’t worked together, in character couple’s status, for many years. Stafford voluntarily left the cast in 2013, later working at ‘General Hospital’. She played Nina Reeves (Stafford) from 2014 through the first part of 2019.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Seasonal Work Began Long Ago

Starting last summer, Phyllis was intent on righting her connection with Nick. She felt guilty for having betrayed his trust and wanted to prove herself.

Joining Dark Horse, where Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had bought Nick’s debt and took over the Newman Enterprises rival, didn’t seem like the way to ingratiate herself. However, Phyllis had a slick plan that worked to Newman’s benefit and to her own.

Phyllis personally told Nick that as Dark Horse’s agent she bought back many of the properties that he pilfered from Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) company. Those prime properties were delivered to Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) at fair values. Phyllis also kept a single location for herself, with that eventually turning into the Grand Phoenix hotel.

As strong winds blew, Nick and Phyllis were effectively trapped in the home Morrow’s character originally built with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) in mind. He and Stafford’s revived alter ego discussed the true love they still share and logically analyzed why it wouldn’t be a good idea to reunite romantically.

Eventually, emotions overcame this duo, as Nick grabbed Phyllis’ hand while she was trying to pass him and head to bed to sleep. Today’s chemistry ignited and fans of this one-time couple cheered, while skeptics silently (or loudly) questioned how long this chapter of ‘Phick’ would last.

Of course, it’s fair to cite extensive history where this pairing is concerned. Phyllis and Nick have often hurt each other while they were together, or when they were apart.

However, they share a daughter, Summer Newman (Hunter King), who represents more than the stated physical attraction Phyllis and Nick have for each other. Their love is sincere and maybe with maturity, each person will be able to find balance in a modern, Stafford-fueled edition of ‘Phick’.
