Phyllis is appreciative of Nick’s invitation and doesn’t want to ruin his Christmas plans, so she decides to keep quiet and not reveal the reasons for not joining his Christmas celebrations.”

But here’s the thing: Nick is not about to let Phyllis bow out of this so quickly. When he decides to poke and prod her to find out what’s really going on, that’s when Phyllis decides to tell him the truth and nothing but the truth for a change. Of course, Nick is stunned when he finds out why. That’s because the last time he checked, he thought that Nick and Phyllis were actually pretty tight!
