The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Drama Erupts – Nick Or Jack?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is heading to Italy. Thankfully Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) secured the information in New Jersey about his sister’s fiance. Doing so allowed him to join Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), and Phyllis on the Jabot jet. Their destination is the Skyle wedding.

Jack and Phyllis were going to fly alone on the long trip across the pond to Europe. Stafford’s character said she was okay with that, but Nick is still uneasy about Jack’s recent admission.

The current edition of Phick can not be called a solidified couple. They are not remarried or even engaged. So what exactly are Phyllis and Nick to each other at this point in both character’s histories?

Phyllis is in love with Nick. As devoted viewers recall, she pursued a reunion with him after the Gina Tognoni (Phyllis) to Stafford recast happened.

Nick did not trust Phyllis two years ago. He broke up with her leading into Tognoni’s departure from the cast. However, time passed, Phyllis is Phyllis and Phick came back.

Nick is unsure about Phyllis’ complete feelings for him. In contrast, Jack just learned that she thinks of him as a dear friend who will always have a place in her heart.

Y&R Spoilers – Jack Abbott Is Different Than He Used To Be

Jack is a sentimental kind of guy. He has been increasingly written in that direction since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) switched Jack with Marco Annicelli (Bergman in a dual role).

Phyllis was devastated when Jack chose not to respond to Victor with ferocity. That did not fit the continuity of who Bergman’s character has long been. It was fair both then and now to claim that a misstep happened.

As is always true, soap writing requires risk-taking due to the volume of episodes that need to be created. Some choices work. Some do not.

Phyllis appears to be a better fit with Nick. Their personalities match and he has grown since the earlier versions of Phick.

Jack is a staunch defender of family and has developed his business skills through the years. But Phyllis can not forget how Jack reacted to the legal and moral crime that the Marco sequence represented.

Nick makes Phyllis feel loved and protected. As viewers saw, she told Jack that she loved him but did not see that he was her best defender.
