The Phoenix represents Phyllis’ rise from the ashes, similar to the mythical bird that is reborn. While the actual hotel Phyllis’ idea sparked has had its share of stops and starts, the turn of this location into a self-indulgent getaway destination projects as a masterstroke.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Turing Weakness Into A Strength
Phyllis has long been about herself. She wasn’t a great mother to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), which included lying to Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) about being his father. But Phyllis has generally been a good mother to Summer Newman (Hunter King).
The many personal relationship trials that Phyllis has been involved in creating the bad reputation she’s trying to change. But Phyllis’ re-branding a product is different from convincing people to see her differently. That’s why her Escape Club idea is so brilliant.
Y&R Spoilers – It’s All About You
Many Y&R characters have convinced themselves that they are stressed. That highly subjective perception is one that plays into Phyllis’ strategy.
Take Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), for example. Her stress mainly exists because she’s been voluntarily attached to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) since the 1980s. But it’s accurate to say that agreeing to become Newman Enterprises Chief Executive Officer includes the need to reset her mind. The piano escape was a perfect choice for Nikki, as it allowed a few hours of joy to be gained and tapped Scott’s character as a Phyllis promoter.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) were together for their escape. It was a relaxing time for both professional ladies, with each person able to bond with someone who wasn’t initially seen as a friend. These newer members of GC society can forward their experience when talking to their personal and professional contacts.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Has Red Finally Seen The Light?
Phyllis repeatedly failed through the years because she took herself far too seriously and created needless problems for other people. Today, she has herself under much greater control.
Y&R fans saw the beginnings of this general transformation when she used her Dark Horse position to sell Newman properties to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) last year. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’s since become her revived love, deeply appreciated Phyllis’ thoughtful gesture.
It would be naive to conclude that Phyllis is now totally altruistic, but also likely risky to adamantly believe that she’s the same as she always was. Phyllis is trying to escape who she was. GC residents and light-hearted Y&R viewers are giving her a chance to succeed.

I do not think old horse faced PHIL can change her spots. A good mother to Summer–GIVE ME A BREAK?????
Please let's get rid of the Not So Grand Pheonix and it silly, childish stories. It's run by a nosey old bag, who is so uncouth it's not believable anyone would go there. For example a mother might love her son but there is no way anyone in their right mind would go and endorse the business of someone who see they went to jail to save their own skin. No decent son would ask such a thing much less get back into a relationship with such a horrible person. And Nikki going there to play a piano in a hotel room which resembles more of an average travel Inn than a classy hotel. Then there is the nightmare owner with her escort dresses and big mouth. Do these writers even understand what a classy hotel looks like and how the owner has paid professional people to do the management, especially when they know their presence would be unpopular and do the business no good. I have to FF most of this GP trash because it's so pathetic.
