The terrific stand-alone episode that honored Stafford’s thirty years with the cast reminded longtime fans of one important point. This actor rocketed to the ranks of daytime’s best actors when she debuted and has never left that exclusive club.
A highly compelling storyline has Phyllis’ mortal enemy, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), apparently having committed murder. Sharon has framed Daniel for killing Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), and Phyllis just realized that she is likely the framer.

Like Stafford, Case debuted in 1994. Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) did as well. Their trio of characters became the next generation of stars in Genoa City, Wisconsin. The audience has applauded the efforts of the actors who have portrayed them ever since.
Sharon began slipping months ago when she voluntarily went off her medication. That wasn’t known by her family until recently when she admitted having done so.
She’s currently trying to convince Nick, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that she’s stabilized her life. Fans know Sharon is also doing so to attempt to divert attention from her seemingly murderous actions.

Y&R Spoilers – Who Killed Heather Stevens?
This subject header remains an apt question. While it’s easy to believe that Sharon did it, based on the evidence provided, it’s likely not the case. And yes, that’s a wink toward Case’s last name.
Unless Case leaves the cast shortly or decides to drop to recurring status, Sharon can’t be Heather’s killer. So, who is?
Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) theory about Heather having another love interest could be correct, with adaptations for the time of fame.
She did have another guy in her life after leaving Daniel with she and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) were living in Portugal.

That unseen character would be an easy fit as the person who killed Heather and took advantage of Sharon’s frazzled state by framing her.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Will Make It Happen
A scenario in which Phyllis applies pressure to Sharon, and she eventually cracks seems more likely than not. Phyllis knows that Daniel could be headed to prison unjustly, so she’ll work recklessly to protect him.
It seems possible that, like Daniel, Sharon looks guilty. But it also feels that, like Daniel, Sharon will be cleared of Heather’s murder.
However, Sharon does appear to have planted evidence in Daniel’s apartment and dumped Heather’s body. Assuming she did commit those crimes, punishment must follow. But that outcome could allow Sharon not to spend much time in prison, if any, based on her mental state at the time.
