The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Real Story Behind Katherine’s Will Challenge Developing – Devon Impacted Again

Chance Chancellor (as last played by John Driscoll) is believed to be challenging Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will on ‘The Young and the Restless’. At least that’s what Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) claims.

Morgan’s second Y&R character told Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that his biological father, Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols), was involved in fraud, having altered Katherine’s last wishes so that his son (Devon) would receive half of his mother’s fortune. Clocking in at nearly a five billion total net worth, the ‘Grande Dame’ amassed quite the estate, which is why someone, a pairing, or a group of conspirators is (are) trying to change reality.

Stunningly, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) was named as the person who Katherine supposedly designated to receive what Devon did. That and more provokes the will challenge storyline.

It’s been six years since Katherine’s death. Longtime Y&R fans still miss Cooper fiercely. She was and will always be the greatest actor in this show’s history.

Y&R has often referenced Cooper’s character through dialogue, or background shots that show her photographed image. Those classy touches are appreciated.

The intensely personal bond that’s formed between long-standing daytime actors, like Cooper, and the audience is unique due to the volume of work that’s presented and digested through the years. Honoring departed cast members is a meaningful way to keep their spirits alive.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Still Reeling From Three Major Losses

First, a tragic accident took the life of what would have been ‘Hevon’s’ first child. Then, days later, Hilary Hamilton (Morgan’s initial Y&R role) died.

Devon’s sister, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil), her married name at the time, was sentenced to prison for the accidental deaths. James’ character was devastated for many months thereafter, with the arrival of Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) serving to spark his recovery.

Neil Winters’ passing (Kristoff St. John) was another major blow. With his wife, their expected child and father gone, and sister mostly inaccessible, at least Devon had Elena to lean on. And then Hilary’s doppelganger knocked on Devon’s penthouse door!

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor And Adam Newman Linked

Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) return to Las Vegas, Nevada, is ominous. Whether Chance will actually be written back into the show and if so, who will play this character, is yet to be seen. But surely the writing staff is about to reveal more about this connection that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) first mentioned after she learned about it in the famous gambling destination.

Cane’s decision to search for Chance at his last known location, Vegas, will at least place Goddard and Grossman’s characters in each other’s plot paths. That should prove compelling for viewers as the real story of Katherine’s will challenge evolves.
