However, the ever-threat that is Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) can serve as the catalyst that establishes more than a friendship between Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Viewers know that Nick and Phyllis recently revived Phick, much to Shick fans chagrin. But a coming storyline can serve to reverse that course.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Classic Episodes Serve As Education
Classic episodes are memory refreshers for hardcore fans. But newer viewers, or those who are too young to recall the mid-2000’s, have learned about the hard arc that seemingly forever severed Shick. That happened when Nick willingly began a relationship with Phyllis after Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) died as the result of injuries suffered in a car accident in 2005.

While Sharon and Nick made two attempts to remarry in the 2010s, they never completed their vows through to completion. Both parties share blame for not being able to overcome their personal mistakes and unwillingness to offer radical forgiveness.
New Developments Right Wrongs?
It didn’t feel like Y&R was anywhere close to writing Sharon and Nick back together when viewers last observed those characters and all others in Genoa City, Wisconsin. However, hope is always in the daytime air.
Rey seems like the last person to betray Sharon’s trust. But Vilasuso’s stand up alter ego could be written into investigating any one of a number of unusual circumstances that continue happening at Phyllis’ Grand Phoenix Hotel. And with that Rey and Stafford’s character could forge a friendship that eventually leads to more.
Phyllis and Rey share common interests now that each person is dating one half of the former Shick. That topic alone can serve as the spark for discussion.
When Will Young and The Restless Resume Filming?
Y&R is set to resume production on July 13. Viewers should reap the rewards of adapted weeks of filming that are scheduled to take place indefinitely. Of course, that assumes all goes well, as is hoped.
The standard turnaround time for an episode to be shot and produced used to be six weeks. But current conditions likely mean that new episodes will be available more rapidly, possibly leading to the next new episode being available within a month.
