Hardcore fans know that Rey was instantly transfixed with Sharon when he first arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin. He was working undercover at the time, in pursuit of an investigation that involved Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Rey’s marriage to Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) wasn’t going well, which is part of the reason why he was glad to get away from Miami, Florida. Mia eventually followed, with Ria attempting to resolve differences. That effort failed, with Mia and Arturo reuniting, getting married, and having a child. Rey blessed the union and moved onto Sharon, who was then open to a relationship.

Faith has always been a good kid. She still is, but has fallen under the influence of a misguided soul, Jordan (Madison Thompson). Faith’s naïveté has to enable Jordan to pollute her mind about authority, alcohol, and other topics, which reflects whatever dark forces, real, exaggerated, or imagined, exist in that character’s world.
Someone tried to shoot Adam, who may have been setting himself up in order to frame Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). But Y&R could reveal Jordan as his attempted shooter if so desired because she’s a side character. Faith’s link to that presumed scenario could prove to overwhelm the wedding completion, which implies legal trouble for Lind’s character.
Sharon just told Rey that she’s finally done with Adam, who’s expected to depart town shortly. Y&R fans have heard that promise, made to many people, numerous times before. So, the Adam whirlwind is capable of disrupting Sharon’s wishes at any time.

Sharon and Rey get married, while the Rosales’ family and Sharon’s family participate. That’s the most likely outcome, as surrounding events aren’t currently powerful enough to stop the New Year’s Eve wedding.

But Sharon hasn’t been married since Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) voluntarily went underground in 2017. Her last legitimate marriage before that was to Adam (as then played by Michael Muhney), which ended in 2010. She was married to Victor on two occasions in between, but both represented business arrangements. So, Shey isn’t certain, but is trending toward them being pronounced man and wife.

I agree with trina98. Rey is to controlling of Sharon. She needs to forget the wedding just anoither 1. Just walk away while you can. Faith needs you now, instead of another man to worry about. She can make her own decisions now. Focus on Faith now and your coffee shop. Depend on no one, but your 3 kids will get you through the most hard times are over now. Hopefully you will stay cancer free. Was hoping Nick would help you through it, but he is to wrapped up in Phyllis now. I guess that means you have to move on and ask him for nothing. Not sure he would help you now. 1 day he might need your help, the question is will she help you. Always been a Nick and Sharon fan.
I don't think Rey is right for Sharon ..he is a control freak trying hard and not succeeding to not order Sharon around, he has been very passive aggressive about a lot of things. Sharon is a big girl, she can make her own decisions Rey doesn't need to be telling her who to be friends with (Adam) and who not to . I don't want her and Nick to reunite and I sure don't want them to break up Adam and Chelsea ..either bring her in a new man that hasn't been with anyone else is GC or leave her be single she's a very savvy business woman ..she has a daughter that has gone off the rails recently lying drinking and god knows what else she's into Sharon can concentrate on her daughter and her health and the rest be damned !
