When it’s discovered Rey was poisoned, authorities search the house. They find that there is thallium in Rey’s body wash, hair gel, and shaving cream. He was the intended target, but who actually had access?

Y&R spoilers reveal that Rey gets transported to the hospital after his collapse. Poisoning is obviously not something Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was looking for or expecting. So, the hospital likely does other tests or there is some clue that leads them to test for it. The diagnosis is Rey has been poisoned with thallium. This wasn’t something that could happen accidentally based on the high levels of the toxin.

There is another clue that makes them certain that this was no accident and Rey was in fact, the intended target. After searching the house, certain items are collected and sent to the lab for testing. They find high concentrations of thallium in Rey’s body wash, hair gel, and shaving cream. Someone wanted Rey to be poisoned and took extra steps to put it in his personal items, things he would use every single day. This person would also have access to Rey and Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) house.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that there are a lot of suspects. Sharon wonders if it is someone Rey arrested or investigated. Doctors inform Rey and Sharon that thallium is sometimes present at industrial sites. However, every single theory that is brought up, Rey shoots down. He is sure that the person who poisoned him is Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Y&R Spoilers – Blaming Adam Newman

Case told Soap Opera Digest that Rey is a cop, so he’s looking at motive. In his eyes, the person with the most motive is Adam.

“There’s more than one suspect and since Rey is a cop, he’s going after motive. Since he and Adam don’t like each other, Rey will be convinced that it has to be his favorite suspect. As far as Rey is concerned, no one has motive except for Adam.”

However, did Adam really have access to Rey and Sharon’s home? He will look guilty due to Sharon missing items related to Adam. Plus, there is that incriminating text that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) sent to Sharon. Pretending to be Adam, she sent a message about how he would do anything for them to be together. So, it’s making Adam look even more guilty. However, some events will take place in the next few weeks that will change everything.

The big question here is, who had the opportunity to put the poison in Rey’s personal items in the bathroom? Is Chelsea working with someone other than Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson)? Or is the responsible person someone completely different than we think?
