The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Role Of Phyllis Changing – Strong Independent Woman, A Good Match For Adam?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has restored her iconic look. But the self-proclaimed phoenix has transformed herself into a different type of person.

The residents of Genoa City, Wisconsin, didn’t take notice to outward appearances. But the fans did. Gina Tognoni’s (Phyllis) well-received five-year run ended earlier this year, with Stafford’s surprise return to the cast following.

Tognoni’s edition of Phyllis was generally more vulnerable than the version Stafford played for many years. Now, as viewers, are seeing, Y&R is having Stafford create a different version of the character that fans aren’t used to seeing this particular actor embody.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Was Or Is A Kindred Spirit

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has consistently brushed Phyllis off since she began pushing herself toward him. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) employed her psychology degree to great effect recently when she tagged Adam as Phyllis’ only friend.

Initially it did appear as though Phyllis saw Adam as a purposeful ally. She recognized a kindred spirit, but the recently recast character that Grossman is now playing doesn’t agree and treats her like subordinate.

With Dark Horse dismantled and that part of Y&R’s storyline over, Phyllis continued to put herself in Adam’s path. She believed that he was the only person who shared her passion for revenge against the Newman’s. As everyone knows, Adam abandoned that quest following the death hoax reveal and now, upon returning to GC, is focused on his son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Y&R Spoilers – New Business Interest And Potential Ally

Phyllis used leverage to force her way back into The Grand Phoenix. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) didn’t like it, but felt they had to bow to her demands and did.

Abby was distracted when Phyllis pressured her into agreeing to the hotel’s new security system. Instead of protection, Phyllis installed some nefarious program that furthers her developing plans, with whatever they are.

Later, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) learned that she has a new neighbor, as Phyllis announced her move into the hotel. It appears as though Phyllis sees Morgan’s newest character as an ally target now that Adam booted Stafford’s revived alter ego out of his penthouse upon his return from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Romance Missing For The Moment

Phyllis has almost always had a man. Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) was her obsession and is the stepfather of Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) still stands as her greatest love. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is someone she still cares about and is Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) father. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is committed to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Unless a new character is written into the story, it appears as though Phyllis will remain alone. Although Adam could finally relent, which would create the seemingly unbelievable Phadam.
