The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that rumors are flying that Donny Boaz’s (ex Chance Chancellor) dismissal may not be the last one on the CBS soap opera. Y&R comings and goings rumors from reliable sources at the network are chattering that he is merely the first in a line of pink slips.
The Young And The Restless spoilers – Donny Boaz Is Out Are There More Actors Set to Go?
Boaz shocked fans with a post that he is off The Young and the Restless as of with Monday, February 1. As Fans saw, Chance got a phone call at the end of the soap opera episode, and said merely something to the effect, “I was wondering when you’d find me.” Apparently that is the last fans will see of Boaz and the character until something changes. Boaz said the character is not being killed or recast he simply disappears.
Y&R has incurred additional costs because of COVID protocols and some have pointed to this as a reason for cost cutting and it would make sense if there are more cuts to come, with departures perhaps not limited to the cast.

Additionally the ratings show that the soap is down almost half a million viewers from this time last year. Prior to Boaz, Tyler Johnson was out as Theo Vanderway. Ironically, the character is back this week but on a limited basis.
It is reportedly being said that actress Tracey E. Bregman who plays Lauren Fenmore might be let go and perhaps Judith Chapman who plays Gloria Bardwell. If this is the case, the characters are in-laws so it could be a family related issue that causes their departure. Lauren is seen infrequently, and Gloria has been off and on in recent weeks.

There have been reports that the show may make a change outside of the cast, perhaps choosing to make a change in the head writer category.

Could Josh Griffith be cut from Y&R? It was reported previously that Michelle Stafford came back with the lure of a Phick storyline, one what has divided fans and reportedly is not favored by Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman).

Y&R Desperately Needs SMART Writers who will KEEP VETERAN SOAP ACTORS who Finish Story Lines and Not leave View shaking their heads!!!
The fans have Fully Voiced their Approval Repeatedly concerning Chance and Abby you'd thought the writers Would Have Should Have Got the message but, No they pull this Bonehead stunt instead!!!!!

I’ve written before that Y&R needs at least one happy and stable storyline. Abby and Chance were giving us that chance of normalcy. Bring Donny back ASAP. He was a natural and talented actor.
I have literally watched this show from day 1. Abby and Chance (Donny Boaz) are the only ones left that have any “chemistry “!! , Young and The Restless “What are you thinking???
Bring back Chance! Get rid of Gloria , Tessa, and Faith.
The writers have gone crazy! I’ve watched this show from day one, never have I been so disappointed with the story line! Instead of firing the actors you need to fire the writers!
They just brought Chance back. Why get rid of him. Ever since the Bells died, the show isn't the same. They were suppose to get rid of Theo, and now he's back. They need to keep Chance, get rid of trouble making Theo and keep the good characters,, get rid of all of the trouble makers.
Get rid of Summer & Kyle also Sally. Their story line is to far out there. Waste of time and money.
Tessa is such a bad actress why do you keep her.
Bring Chance back. Get rid of Sally. And Gloria too. Why bring characters from another soap and get rid of veterans. You will be losing some viewers.
I think it’s terrible that they cut Donny off. Why not Lola or Rey, Jordan, Tessa Sally come on you’re killing off good people get rid of the stupid writers they do t know what they are doing
The writing is horrendous! Start a good story, fans express enjoyment, then writers cut it off with rushed nonsense. Yes, stories like Kyle and Lola's marriage, Abby and Chance, nothing worth watching is ever followed through to a satisfactory ending. It's like the writers deliberately take stories out that the fans are enjoying. Then force more of sickly Kyle and dumb Summer onto us. A good writer would never have back tracked to their uninteresting relationship. Nick and Phyllis, another useless couple. What a waste of money bringing Phyllis back! A good writer would have kept this burned out character gone and given fans someone fresh. Abby's story is now rediculous, caring husband Chance just vanished whilst Abby's so upset over pregnancy issues and now she's suddenly happy as Larry to go through surrogacy on her own, please, give fans some credit!!! And this better not be an excuse for nepotism, giving her husband Donny's job! Abby now needs a different direction, fans shouldn't be insulted further now this story has been trashed. It can't be difficult to find a better Head Writer than Griffin, someone who can produce interesting stories to succesful completion. The show is largely paying good actors to flop around with lame stories. All the women are doing these days are wandering around crying. Victoria is supposed to be the new Victor, have her tie Lilly up in business knots so she can keep her out of her family, not crying like a pathetic school girl!
I too have watched from day one and there is nothing remotely like it used to be. Yes we like Chance and Abby but, Nick and Phyllis are just too much. Phyllis should have never been brought back. There is so much more than for the two them going up to her room. Lily could have stayed away also alone with Amanda. This soap could be so interesting to the point where fans could not wait for the next day. Now if I am here to watch fine if not fine. I sort of believe that it doesn't matter what we, the fans. have to say at all. If we do matter Phyllis and Summer would have been gone a long time ago. Character like Victor, Nikki, Michael, Lauren, Jack etc. do not have air time at all, instead we see Amanda, Lily, Summer, and the new comers.
The young lady that walks around the Grande Phoenix , time to change her dress. Maybe allow her to greet someone or something besides walking and doing nothing.
I agree! Amanda, Summer, Faith, Elena, Rey, Lola, Nate, Jordan, Theo, Sally needs to gone. I don’t like Phyllis and Nick together. I would have like to see Abby & Chance together and happy. It’s a shame to have let Danny Boaz go. A writer change needs to happen.

I agree on something’s but not Victoria doing anything with Lilly. She has bigger fish to fry like tackling a battle again her dad and Adam. Victoria doesn’t need a love storyline. She looks awkward in a relationship. Plus, she isn’t good for Billy in my opinion. Just let her stay on the business side and send the kids to boarding school. They grow up fast in the soaps. LOL. I like Lilly and Billy!
