Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was hesitant to get involved with Billy on The Young and the Restless for a number of reasons. His track record of recklessness and their tie at Chance Com were just two reasons to not pursue romance. But it has become clear that Lily’s choice to take a chance on love has been right so far.

Y&R delayed the most recent Villy reconnect for a long period of time. Then, when it happened, the writing staff decided to have Billy ditch Victoria for a debatable reason. He said that she wouldn’t let him be his authentic self. Okay.

Y&R Spoilers Updates – Lily Winters Has Open Space

Lily is removed from what became a painful break from Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). Y&R’s choice to write Goddard out of the cast was disappointing, as that longtime stalwart could have been given a fresh plot path to walk on like Khalil was. Both solid actor’s efforts are valued by devoted Y&R fans.

So, with Lane behind her and the Ashby twins no longer on The Young and the Restless either, she focused on her work. The opportunity Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) provided came at a good time, allowing Lily to use her skills to co-head a new division of Chancellor Industries.

The choice to pair Lily and Billy evokes hardcore fan memories of the long ago pairing, when these characters, who were in their youth, dated. Today, she’s a single adult who sees Billy in a new way.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Determined To Do Right

Billy sloughed off Victoria’s recent organized event with the children, where she was unexpectedly present. He doesn’t believe that Victoria wants him back and is fully focused on Lily.

But Victoria could tell Billy, or imply, that Villy should be revived again. Would he stick to the refreshed version of himself that he has created, or thinks he’s developed then?

That question can’t be instantly answered with any degree of certainty because as Victoria, Lily, and all Y&R fans know, Billy has long been unpredictable, which makes him a great daytime character.

      I think Billy should be with Victoria and the children.. Let them be the next power couple? An Abbott & a Newman — they (writers) could go a long way with different stories.. Cheers to some new stuff!

      I am waiting to see if Lilly will go into the control mode and Billy will go off on one of his can't be controlled self. I like Lilly, but cannot see her and Billy together. Lilly could never put up with what he has put Victoria through. Victoria needs to relax a little and get out of "Daddy" old chair. She might need a new man that will catch her eye, maybe someone like B&B Bill Spencer. Then, we could see if Billy notices and how Billy will react.

      Are you kidding me?? Lilly brought out the best in Billy. What did Victoria do. Billy was always an outsider at Newman family. Victoria has been a real pain. She has gone after people. Maybe if she wasn’t going after Phyllis and Adam that guy wouldn’t have stolen all of that $$$. She needs to be brought dow. A peg or two. You have done this so many times I am so sick of this crap.!

      I think Billy should pursue his relationship with Lily. Victoria only wants him back because she is jealous and wants to ruin his chances with Lily. She has gotten more like her dad every day and that isn't a good thing.
