The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) projects the same brand of brashness that another character in another era. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) recognized her younger, naive self in Sally, though Hope’s character shrugged off the comparison as meaningless.

The threat that Phyllis represents isn’t something that Sally should take lightly, but she is doing just that. In her mind, Stafford’s character doesn’t have life experience that applies to her own.

This arrogant, reckless outlook served to force Sally out of Los Angeles, California, in the recent past. If she continues on the path in her new town it’s at least likely that another fall will happen.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Is Smilin’ At Her

Sally has charmed Jack. Phyllis can see that her former husband, who famously delivered Summer Newman (Hunter King) in a Newman Enterprises elevator, is smitten with Hope’s crossover character.

The gamble for Sally is obvious. She will glom on to a GC mover and shaker in order to elevate her social status and potentially secure a monied future.

Phyllis clearly sees that Jack is in danger of being used. Despite their non-couple’s status, Phyllis cares for Jack and is protective of him.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman Is One Of The Targets

Sally targeted Summer last year by diminishing her career accomplishments. Sally told Summer that she didn’t earn what she had, but was given everything based on family connections.

Making Summer into an enemy was ill-advised, as Sally had no basis to do so and had no firm backup at the time. So, the side strategy of luring Jack in becomes clearer.

Skyle is a significant couple in GC. Beyond that, Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are far above Sally on the pecking order at Fenmore’s and Jabot respectively. The conflict between this trio was recently furthered by Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) return and information give to Sally.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Remains Fearless

Phyllis has reinvented herself. She’s risen like a phoenix from the ashes, which is why the hotel bears that mythical creature’s name.

Sally believes that she’s a phoenix herself. However, believing that her modern wits override Phyllis’ deeper experience in life is a tactical mistake that a thoughtful person wouldn’t make.

Hardcore Y&R fans, along with those who follow The Bold and the Beautiful as well, know that Sally is taking a number of needless risks. She’s also not following Jack’s advice to be patient and wait for success to follow. Discounting his wisdom, in particular, telegraphs toward doom.
