The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer Newman Positioned As Enemy

The writing staff had Sally initially meet Summer Newman (Hunter King). She arrived at Jabot’s conference room, which has become the main setting rather than Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) office, and spoke to King’s character.

The immediate implication is that Sally and Summer will become rivals, with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) being tugged from both sides. Although his recent conclusion about Skyle not being worth it could mean that he wouldn’t need Sally to entice him, but rather would pull away from Summer for good.

Y&R Restless Spoilers – Fenmore’s Link Establishes Baseline

Sally had her own fashion house in LA. But that was wrecked, in part, by Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) relentless revenge pursuits. So, connecting Sally to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) works on a number of levels.

Historically, the crossover effect is repeating with Lauren having moved to California many years ago. She set a standard, made friends, and enemies, developed relationships, and then returned.

It’s cool and apt to have Lauren serve as Sally’s mentor. That connection also provides an insider’s wink to all hardcore fans who understand why these characters are joined in GC.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Pursuing Fresh Start In GC

Sally became her own worst enemy after becoming involved with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks). That relationship was provably toxic because she lost her edge and sense of her true self.

Instead of Wyatt and Sally lifting each other, they fought, split, reunited, then fell to the ground. It was a classic bad match, with Sally’s end fully sad.

Her last B&B scene included a tearful apology that related to her having kidnapped Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden), the woman Wyatt loves. Sally obviously took Wyatt’s resulting advice and left town.

 

So, this fresh start is fully needed. Sally is at her best when she unleashes her creativity and doesn’t allow herself to veer needlessly off-course. She also has a good heart that should be nourished by someone who loves her and vice versa.
