The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon And Phyllis Targeted By Ian’s Revenge Plot

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon And Phyllis Targeted By Ian's Revenge PlotThe Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are living in a room that looks fit for rats. Why they’re being treated like animals is hard to know because fans don’t have enough intel and can only speculate.

A digitally skewed voice is the only contact the ladies are allowed during this latest abduction storyline. The intrigue doesn’t lie in their capture, with Sharon having just escaped Jordan Howard’s (Colleen Zenk) torture chamber under Chancellor Park.

Instead, Phyllis’ comments to Sharon about the so-called game they are playing make the most sense. The audience can witness an extended therapy session where these longtime combatants discuss their history and work toward a common goal.

Flashing Back To Victor Newman And Jack Abbott

A calamity came upon Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). As longtime fans recall, they were trapped in a collapse and had to survive.

Despite Jack having infamously allowed Victor to lie on the ground in the Colonnade Room after suffering a heart attack, Braeden’s character helped Jack. They were rescued and spent time together in the hospital, with The Odd Couple, wink appreciated by fans of classic sitcoms.

The Victor-Jack feud became a staple for this show starting in the 1980s. Sharon and Phyllis’ rivalry dates back to the 1990s, and as Case’s character said, and was centered on their fight for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

How Sharon Newman And Phyllis Summers Got Here

Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) developed a crush on Phyllis’ son, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). But rather than a sweet story playing out, she died.

That happened after Cassie followed Daniel to a party where alcohol was served. He was over-served and couldn’t drive home. So, one of the saddest and still controversial climaxes happened.

Cassie was underage and unlicensed, yet she drove Daniel’s car, and it crashed. Days later, after a series of farewell scenes were shot with primary characters, Grimes’ first stellar stint on Y&R was over. Everyone on both sides of the screen mourned Cassie’s shocking passing, but many never moved on.

The decision to split Sharon from Nick by having him find comfort in Phyllis’ arms eventually led to Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) birth. Sharon and Nick divorced and never remarried, which remains an unusual creative choice as was the decision to kill Cassie off,

Where Do They Go From Here?

Sharon and Phyllis will find their way out or be rescued. No information confirms one or both of these great actors are working on their swan song plot.

While this scenario is strange, based on the timing of Sharon’s recent capture and survival, the unknown presence of Ian Ward (Ray Wise) on the earth, and the introduction of Aristotle Dumas (no actor known to be cast for this role), imply that either man is the plausible villain.

Ian’s thirst for revenge against both ladies makes him the most likely dark force option. However, possibly the audience sees that his survival in that ambulance was a red herring, and Aristotle or another unknown character is behind what’s becoming good soap.
