The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Can’t Let Adam Newman Go, Has He Really Changed?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) never stopped caring for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). So, the storyline that might have her being drawn back to him makes sense to viewers, be they hardcore or newer Young and Restless fans.

However, anyone who has watched Y&R for a period of time or even those who have only recently learned about Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) history with this particular character have to pause. Adam offers her a fashion related job at Newman Media, she accepts it, and is now starting. Really?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Rosales Attracted To Conflict

Sharon has done a lot to improve herself on The Young and the Restless. She worked hard to regain stability and has maintained it for awhile. Most importantly, she faced the cancer diagnosis with strength, was supported by Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), her children, and others, and won.

To have Sharon sporadically connected to Adam is natural, considering the closeness of all characters in this famous setting. To even have Sharon rekindle her romantic feelings for Adam follows many periods of her backstory.

So, it fits that Rey’s out of town assignment, where he is serving as Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) escort, gave Sharon and Adam a chance to talk on a number of occasions. During those talks Adam said that Sharon was drawn to his bad boy status. True. She’s also invested in his current transformation into a decent person on The Young and the Restless.

Y&R Spoilers – Chloe Mitchell Hasn’t Forgotten Or Forgiven

Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) died on a dark road in the outskirts of Genoa City, Wisconsin, many years ago. Adam (as then played by Michael Muhney) came to believe that he accidentally hit her. He hid that apparent fact, which was later exposed, turning him into Chloe’s eternal arch nemesis.

Hendrickson is a terrific actor, as is Grossman. So, the interplay between them at Newman Media will surely be stellar. But longtime fans, in particular, are being asked to stomach too much.

Just months ago Chloe was working with Chelsea to bring Adam down. That actually proved to be Chelsea’s ticket to a mental health ward and now, to confinement with her recovering mother, Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach), in Minnesota. Chloe would never go to work for Adam, yet in the soap world it has happened.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Potential Redemption Arc

As a counter to the above section, Y&R is basically asking viewers to at least consider this test. If Adam can sincerely reach out to Chloe and make some form of amends, as he’s honestly trying to do, then what feels like a real redemption arc is unfolding.

Grossman is a superb actor, which continues the tradition of having strong talent in this role. He has the chops, as does Hendrickson, to make the implausible acceptable.

So, if Adam and Chloe are able to work together, with the plan being for Chelsea to join them when she’s able, then a reunion with Sharon may become more likely as well. Redemption and Shadam the sequel? That would be intriguing soap.

I say that if Sharon is going to dump Rey for anyone it should be for Nick! They were going to get re-married not that long ago! I hate this supposed pull with Sharon & Adam. I say Phyllis with Jack & Sharon with Nick. If not bring in some Fresh New Face to win us over! Tired of the same old, same old! Shake it Up!
