The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) saved the day in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But she also had help from her one-time love, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and youngest daughter, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster).
It was satisfying to see that trio defeat the deranged Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). He held Sharon, intending to kill either her or Faith. But Cameron became the victim of Sharon’s courage in this throwback storyline on Y&R.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kudos To Linden Ashby
It was cool to see Ashby reprise his role. This memorable nemesis tormented Sharon and Nick in daytime days gone by in 2003 and 2004.
Cameron was revived for the soap’s ongoing fiftieth-anniversary celebration, which has included the reprisal of many memorable characters.
TPTB are creating shortened stories that reintroduce characters from the past, with some, including Cameron, receiving updated tales. Newer viewers learned in recent weeks who this villain was through a series of extended flashback scenes.
Ashby sported a wild mountain man exterior along with his trademark obsessive bent. Sharon was the woman he loved and, as she soon learned, he truly believed that she cared about him.
Y&R Spoilers – Faith Newman Held Her Own
Faith was abducted and taken to the sewer system beneath the Newman Ranch. A believable set was created that had Faith bound and gagged in the dark underground tunnels.
Viewers suspended disbelief when Sharon found the false bottom of Cameron’s bag that included schematics of GC’s sewer system. It did not matter how Sharon’s revived pursuer obtained them, but rather helped her, Nick and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) reach Faith in time.
Cameron also managed to obtain or create an explosive device that he wrapped around Faith. That added extra flair to the dramatic rescue scene, which became a two-part climax.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Rosales Needs Both
Sharon is known to have told Nick and other men that loved her that she does not need to be defended. But as was often true when she and Nick were married, Sharon did need Nick’s help.
Morrow’s character provided Sharon with a weapon before an anticipated meeting with Cameron, who changed the venue in an attempt to gain the upper hand. Viewers knew what she was reaching for and anticipated the plunge into his chest when it happened.
Nick was not forced to pick between saving Sharon or Faith, as Cameron wanted. Instead, Cameron was dead, and Chance needed to disarm the device his broken mind created on Y&R.
