Soaps love to drag out storylines. So, even though Rey does receive fatal injuries from the crash, he will hang on for a little bit. Rey might even make it to the hospital as doctors try to save his life. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) delivers shocking news during the week of April 18, which must be that Victoria crashed her car into an oncoming vehicle.

Since Nick and Sharon are so close, that is probably how she finds out about Rey. Of course, Sharon will rush to the hospital. That would explain the teaser about Sharon getting déjà vu. As fans recall, Sharon and Nick lost Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) in a car accident, too.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Cassie’s fatal accident happened in May, so the death anniversary is right around the corner. In a cruel twist of fate, Rey might hold on until Cassie’s death anniversary.

This might be what Sharon’s bad feeling was about when Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) announced their wedding date. It might not have had anything to do with “Teriah” getting married on Friday the 13^th. Maybe Sharon’s bad feeling was about Rey, and she just didn’t realize it at the time.

Maybe Rey tries to recreate his Miami wedding with Sharon, which would be at the hospital. The nurses might all chip in to make Rey’s hospital room look like Miami. This would give Rey and Sharon some heartwarming yet bittersweet last moments together.

Of course, Rey could have a special request. Rey has bonded with Chelsea and Connor. Chelsea will feel guilty about Rey’s death being her fault. Maybe Rey’s special request has to do with Sharon and Chelsea leaning on each other. The two women are civil right now but aren’t exactly friends.

Rey’s focus might be on Connor, too. Rey always wanted a child of his own but that wasn’t possible with Sharon. Maybe Rey asks Sharon to do something special for Connor. We will have to keep watching the CBS soap to find out what happens next.
