The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Should Christine Use The Insanity Defense For Mariah?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) wants no part of Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) kidnapping case.

Someone needs to defend her so who will step up in GC? Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) wanted Michael to do the deed but defending the woman who stole Victor Newman’s grandson is out of the question. Who can Sharon turn to now?

During the week of February 2-6, Sharon learns that Mariah kidnapped Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark). As a mom she feels guilty, and maybe she should.

We understand that she was wrapped up in Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) debacle out in LA, but she should have reached out to her wayward daughter long before now.

Mariah Needs Help

Sharon had her hands full with Noah and the Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) mess and denied Mariah’s request to come and see her in the psych facility. Tsk, tsk.

Ever the rescuer, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) tells Sharon not to feel guilty but Sharon can’t help herself.

She vows to help turn Mariah around, and that starts with finding Dominic, then finding decent legal representation.

What a Messa

Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) also steps up as do Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen), and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) are grateful. But what happens when Mariah is caught? She can’t exactly say ‘the devil made me do it’ … oh, wait.

Mariah will be arrested and be hard put to explain herself. Michael helped Sharon fight the charge that she killed Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), so he is a logical choice for her to turn to. They are pals, but we don’t see him taking this controversial case. If he did Victor would never speak to him again!

Michael Won’t Go Against Victor Newman

Explosive spoilers hint that Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) defends a new client soon and we suspect that person is Mariah.

Christine is up to the task, but can she keep Mariah out of prison? And what about the supposed suffocation of an old man that Mariah committed? Remember that?
