The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Should Lexi Ainsworth Play Summer Newman? The Young and the Restless spoilers say that a lot of fans can’t help but wonder: would Lexi Ainsworth be a better fit to play Summer Newman?

Here’s what we know. Lexi is a General Hospital alum that was best known for her role as Kristina Davis before she left the soap back in 2021.

Should Lexi Ainsworth Play Summer Newman?

And while she hasn’t really had any acting jobs since then, some Y&R fans believe that she would be a great fit as Summer, even though the role currently belongs to actress Alison Lanier.

As our readers can imagine, The Young and the Restless fans certainly did have a lot to say about the possibility of seeing Lexi join the cast in this fictional town of Genoa City.

Some even took to social media to weigh in on the matter with, “Yes I loved her as Kristina on GH, she is a phenomenal actress. I think with dyed blonde hair it could work.”

Another Y&R fan wrote, “Hair has never stopped a casting before once upon a time Victoria Newman was as blonde as Nikki but Heather Tom was replaced with Amelia Heinle she was raven haired ever since.”

And then there was this comment, too: “I don’t think it’s the right role for her but I would love it for Lexi the actress. She deserves opportunities in Soaps and beyond.”

What’s Next For Lexi Ainsworth?

Back in 2021 and after it was announced that Kate Mansi would be her replacement as the new Kristina on General Hospital, Lexi took to her Instagram account to clarify a few things.

She wrote, “Hey guys, I wanted to come on here and speak to my GENERAL HOSPITAL fans and let you guys know that after 10 transformative years, both personally and for my character, that I will be leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL and I was looking forward to this upcoming storyline because it was inspired by a personal experience of mine.”

Now, whether or not Lexi would be interested in going back to the daytime television world remains to be seen, but so far the actress herself has not made any comments about the matter. Instead, it seems like she’s more focused on keeping a very low profile.
