Who’s Next on The Chopping Block?

The Young and the Restless spoilers note that fans are concerned about Jill Abbott, played by Jess Walton.

Her health has taken a turn for the worse, and as there’s been a lot of mention about it in storylines, viewers fear the worst. With that said, the actress is still around, so could the show kill off Jill?

Head Writer and Executive Producer, Josh Griffith, dropped some hints about what’s ahead for Jill in a recent 2026 preview.

He notes that it is Walton’s 40^th anniversary with the show, “… so that’s a milestone that we will definitely recognize.” Still, it’s important to note that Walton debuted as Jill in 1987, so is that a hint that Jill will be around until 2027? Only time will tell.

Sienna Bacall’s Long Haul

Then again, could the Y&R be gearing up to axe another character altogether? Sienna Bacall entered the canvas in the fall of last year, as soap opera veteran Tamara Braun was cast in the role.

While she has an interesting romance with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), Sienna doesn’t have many roots in Genoa City, despite having a few friends and one foe in Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

With Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) on the cusp of a return, will his comeback bring some stunning moments – like killing Sienna as a form of revenge against her, Noah, and the rest of the Newmans?

Then again, as he is returning, he clearly wasn’t properly dealt with the last time, perhaps Matt will come back to stir the pot, cause chaos, and then end up facing his demise as well (in a blaze of glory, obviously!)
