Victor is keeping his distance from Newman Enterprises, as Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) recently pointed out. All who know the Moustache understand that Victoria only believes that she’s calling the shots. Victor is allowing her to run the show while he’s busying himself with the Newman Media side project.

So, Victoria is calling the shots for now. One includes allowing Ashland to believe he’s pursuing her. But as with all things Newman, she controls that game and will determine whether her nickname is adapted to include a connection with the Lockeness Monster.
