Y&R spoilers reveal that Summer had a feeling that her mother was going to return and launch a full attack on Diane. However, Summer also gets the feeling that Diane is in some way responsible for Phyllis and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) breakup. With that being said, Summer is trying to protect everyone by facilitating a truce between Phyllis and Diane.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) knows how much Phyllis and Diane’s war is weighing on Summer. Kyle even told his wife that they are not responsible for the behavior of two grown women. Summer also had to deal with people not being convinced she could get the rivals to cease fire.

Summer did manage to get Phyllis to call a truce with Diane. However, it is clear that Phyllis has no intention of laying down her sword. Plus, both Diane and Phyllis were pretty catty during the peace talk. In any case, Summer hopes that peace – even if it is short-lived – will let her breathe and focus on Marchetti.

Y&R Spoilers – Kyle Abbott’s Proposition

Just when Summer could breathe again, Kyle dropped a bombshell on her. Kyle wants to hire Diane at the new Marchetti. Even though Summer eventually agrees, she knows that this won’t sit well with Phyllis.

However, if Diane accepts the job at Marchetti, then she will have a chance to get closer to both Kyle and Summer. Diane is pretty good at swinging things her way, so she will likely be on her best behavior. Summer might even see Diane’s good qualities.

Meanwhile, Phyllis can put on a truce act, but her head will eventually explode. The better behaved Diane acts, the more crazy Phyllis is going to appear. This is exactly what Diane wants and the icing on the cake would be to get closer to Summer.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Professional And Personal Bonding

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Diane might not just bond with Summer on a professional level. Diane and Summer both love Kyle, so they will connect over that. Plus, Diane is Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) grandmother. So, they will definitely bond over protecting Harrison and doing what is best for the little boy.

Y&R Spoilers – Not All About Phyllis Summers

When Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) eventually comes for Harrison, Diane could play a crucial role in doing damage control. Even though Diane won’t endanger her relationship with Kyle, she and Ashland did connect. Diane and Ashland have both done a lot of dirty things over the years. Both also want redemption but are having trouble earning it.

So, Ashland might be ready to pull out the big guns over Harrison, but it could be Diane that convinces everyone to a compromise. After all, Harrison is an innocent victim in all of this. Diane’s ability to protect Harrison while reasoning with Ashland could speak volumes to Summer.

Of course, Phyllis won’t see it this way. Phyllis will view it as Summer betraying her to side with the enemy. The drama is just getting started!

      Its sad that these (call them if I must) writers keep using children to create a foundation of drama in these stories. Look what a disaster baby Dom story was yet here we go again. For crying out loud get Kyle to man up and tell Diane he will pay for monthly visits to GC but she doesn't need to live in their pockets upsetting everyone. Summer turning against her mother is garbage, this character has spent her life defending Phyllis against softie Sharon, so its definitely not believable this character would side with obviously conniving Diane. Summer, we have been constantly told is smart and loyal, so given what Diane has done to her mom, grandmother etc, being Victors granddaughter she would find a way to get Diane gone. And whats with all the flashbacks, is it to cut costs?
