When Phyllis faked her death to set up Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for murder, Summer finds out the truth and covers for Phyllis as she continues to keep up her charade.
Summer was fine to lie to her husband, her brother, and her mother and father-in-law to keep Phyllis’ secret. Summer ended up blowing her marriage up to hide this secret as well.
After all of this, Phyllis was still arrested and charged but she was set free after telling the judge everything that happened when she ended up killing Jeremy Stark (ex-James Hyde).
