The Young and the Restless spoilers document that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Summer Newman (Hunter King) is reeling following Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) decision to move on. But the perceived threat to Skyle’s still possible future, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), isn’t the only lady that Summer needs to be worried about now.

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) arrives in Genoa City, Wisconsin, as she hyped and anticipated crossover from The Bold and the Beautiful happens. Summer (Hunter King) doesn’t know it, but Hope’s character is capable of becoming Kyle’s new significant other, or more than that.

There are legitimate arguments to be made for this couple to try and work things out. It wouldn’t necessarily be a reconciliation, but more of a tale from each half of Skyle about what comes next.

Assume that Kyle (Michael Mealor) changes his mind, which seems to be set, and wants to try again. A fair question to ask is if he should pursue Summer, or if she should rely on her instincts and end the relationship, regardless of the intensity of the emotional pain that would follow?

Compatibility Is The Issue, Not Love

Kyle and Summer have loved each other for a long time. Their connection crosses back through the various actors who’ve portrayed Kyle through the years, with Mealor delivering a terrific edition since he joined the cast in 2018.

What’s become obvious the past two years is that Summer and Kyle haven’t been compatible. It appeared as though they’d finally figured out how to be in love and get along. But that hope was seriously hampered when the elopement plane crashed.

A lot has happened since 2018, with Summer and Kyle sniping at each other when they were apart and then clashing hard the past few weeks as they were rushing into an ill-conceived wedding plan. There’s a message here that’s not likely to change, which may mean the end of Skyle for now, or for good.

Lola Rosales And Sally Spectra Stand Tall

Summer isn’t Kyle’s only love option, as he should recognize. Lola cared about him completely, but he screwed up Kola. Whether Calle’s character can find it within herself to even consider another attempt with him is currently doubtful.

But Sally will become, as she was on B&B, a true wild card. Many will be impressed by her energy and glamor. Yes, Kyle wanted to be single, but might not be for long.
