The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Summer’s Marchetti Crisis – Both Chelsea & Sally Quit At The Same Time?

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest there are a number of moving pieces in the corporate world in Genoa City.

During the Friday, April 25 episode, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) asked Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Clair Egan) to leave Marchetti and become Newman Media’s newest COO.

In the days ahead, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will fire Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) from Abbott Communications, which could open the door for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to help out her boyfriend at his company. Could all these career moves ultimately bite Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) in the butt?

Summer Newman’s Work Crisis

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, May 1, reveal that Summer will have a work crisis. There’s a good chance that Chelsea will take Adam up on his offer. Marchetti losing Chelsea is a crisis in itself.

However, when Billy fires Phyllis this week, will he once again ask Sally to help him out at Abbott Communications? If she accepts, that could become quite the crisis for Summer, as well!

Family Swings In For The Save?

Sally may agree to leave Marchetti and head for Abbott Communications. After all, with Phyllis gone, she could see this as a nice career move, but also a power play when it comes to her relationship with Billy.

Sally may want to prove to Billy that he doesn’t need his ex to help launch this new venture, and Sally may also feel like working with Billy could help bring their romance to the next level.

With that said, Summer will be left scrambling. Phyllis could swoop in for the save, after all, she loves her daughter and doesn’t exactly have a job right now, but will Red be able to help? What Summer needs is a creative designer (or two), not necessarily an IT geek.

Still, could Summer potentially do some corporate shuffling that would allow a current employee/employees to move into Chelsea and Sally’s spots – looking at you, Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) – so that Phyllis could move into another role?

Could Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) be recruited? He declined an offer at Abbott Communications, but would he reject Summer if she desperately needed help?
