Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) spouted some gibberish about wanting to be the best version of himself many months ago. He’s also proclaimed independence from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and has professed his love for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), who is his equal at Chance Com as well.
Now, both of these ever-dysfunctional personalities have declared their intent to get the other for the umpteenth time. So, one must decide to be on Team Adam or Team Billy, right?
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Candidate One Is Adam Newman
Adam has often blamed all of his problems on others, mostly pointing his bratty finger at Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Apparently, Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) near-Saint status didn’t mean much to Adam, as her influence surely impacted his childhood and overall development indelibly.
But it must be said that Adam is going through a form of epiphany. He has also demonstrated true selflessness in twice saving Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) life and in expressing true remorse toward, while also offering compassion to, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
So, an endorsement could be given to Grossman’s character based on positive momentum, if one was forced to vote for Adam or Billy.
Y&R Spoilers – Candidate Two Is Billy Abbott
As for Billy, he can’t seem to remain on the straight and narrow for any length of time. After seeming to pull himself out of what he felt was a dysfunctional relationship, his recent choice to once again go after Adam threatens to destabilize BiLily.
Chance Com should be the area where Billy channels the energy his mother, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), wisely knew would be well placed. But he can’t stop reappointing himself as Adam’s probation officer.
Casting a vote for Billy is probably an anti-Adam vote if voters are actually truthful with their authentic selves and whatever that subjective phrase means.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Casting An Abstention Vote
Here’s the real truth that isn’t pretty, Adam and Billy have been self-involved for years. They’ve relied on the Chelsea’s, Victoria’s, Lily’s, and Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) of the world to serve as default mother figures.
Voting for Adam or Billy is akin to grudgingly acknowledging that someone has to win. But a conscience endorsement can be cast in the alternative category, abstention. Doing so will allow both people to first prove themselves worthy of trust at some point in their adult lives if that’s even possible.

Team neither. One of them is a smug arrogant obnoxiously annoying grown man child. The other is a self righteous hypocritical serial cheater who’s never actually figured out how to keep it in his pants. Now granted Nick does a heck of a lot more than brag on himself or copes out on his family with some alleged psychiatric condition that he was too self absorbed to get real help for to be with his family. No Nick is no billy but neither of them have room to talk about Adam,Kyle, or anybody else considering all the stunts that they’ve both pull over the years. That’s just me though not looking for likes, dislikes, or agreement. This my personal opinion on them after watching them operate all the years on the show….
Ever since Nicholas and Adam clasped hands after a ceiling fell on them in the Kansas tornado episode I've been loving this redemptive storyline–Team Adam all the way!!!
