Victor is not an overt criminal, believing that his place atop Newman Enterprises is a legitimate business. But when the veneer is ripped, he is a crook.
Tucker McCall (with the inspired recast to Trevor St. John) is a low-down dirty player himself. McCall Unlimited is a front Tucker uses to commit a series of legal and moral crimes across the globe, just as Newman Enterprises is the facade Victor uses to perpetrate whatever power he wishes to grab next.
So, if a soap fan was forced by Sonny or one of his henchmen to make a bet on Victor or Tucker, who would that pressured-viewer choose?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Rules Genoa City
Victor would be a bettor’s best bet. He was recruited to GC by the late, incredibly great Katherine Chancellor (played by the late incredibly great Jeanne Cooper). The Grande Dame being Tucker’s mother.
Braeden has been part of Y&R’s cast since 1980. He ranks with the greatest daytime players of all time, having developed one of the most meaningful lead characters in the history of the genre.
Victor takes no prisoners. So, his people located Tucker’s location at the Genoa City Athletic Club and he confronted him. Tucker revealed little during the conversation but got the message that Victor still rules this town.
Y&R Spoilers – Tucker McCall Has No Reason To Play It Safe
Tucker returns to the scene, after a nine-year real-time absence from Y&R as a fresh edition. St. John is a solid daytime veteran, with this casting choice already looking spot on.
Viewers do not know if Tucker plans to get Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) back and reconnect with his son, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and not pursue any monumental business deals. He is telling people that he does not plan to cause trouble yet admitted to Devon that someone at his level always has some business interest to pursue.
Why should Tucker play it safe at this point in his life and career?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Old Dog Or Returned Dog Prevails?
An easy storyline would be to write Victor as the victor. That has happened many times before, but not always.
An easy storyline would be to write Tucker into early success, followed by a sudden fall from grace. But viewers have seen that tale before.
Tucker’s alliance with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is intriguing on its own. But it also indicates that approach, and alliances, maybe Tucker’s best chance to make whatever progress he is seeking and his ability to sustain it on Y&R.
It would be great if Sonny would weigh in. But that type of cross-network crossover is not yet possible.

I am team tucker, the newmans have live an entitled life and never cared about the damage they do to other people. It’s pass time for them to be on the receiving in of a great loss. They should loose control of Newman Enterprise and not be able to regain control.
YES, YES, YES and let Victoria be the cause of losing the company shares to Tucker. She needs to be brought down a few pegs. Let Tucker find out about Nick killing Ashland also. It’s time for the Newman’s cage to be rattled and I mean rattled hard.
