‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Theo and Kyle’s Battle Rages – Ladies Drawn Into the Fray

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) won’t be enjoying a warm and fuzz Christmas gift exchange this year on Y&R. The two ladies they are connected to will, however, continue to be drawn into the fray this pair of cousins is creating.

A recent, seeming misunderstanding on Theo’s part may have been orchestrated by Kyle. However, it’s possible that Theo made a simple mistake, or his client did, regarding the timing of a meeting.

Uncle Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has returned to the corporate mix. He’s helping to keep an eye on his nephew, knowing that the interpersonal battle between Theo and Kyle could be a problem, or an opportunity to demonstrate growth.

Kyle successfully talked his father into allowing him to be co-Chief Executive Officer at Jabot. However, the situation is conditioned on a trial period that’s just begun to play out.

The above has immediate implications for Theo, as Kyle is not so secretly angling to allow his cousin to work his way out of the company. Jack’s tell to his nephew, about the difference between family ties, which are forever, and Theo’s job in marketing, which is based purely on performance, was enlightening.

Thankfully for Theo, Kyle doesn’t yet have full power. Jack is a buttress to his son’s impulses, but that’s only for awhile, assuming Kyle performs well.

Theo is all alone in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Yes, he’s gained blood relatives. But in reality, he’s tasked with proving himself.

Even Kyle had to admit, when asked, that Theo made his own way when they were in New York. That backstory information supports what viewers have seen since Johnson’s character first debuted earlier this year.

Trying to earn his way into the business side of GC will be challenging. Theo’s tie to Summer Newman (Hunter King) seemed to be helpful, but he opted to cut it. The greater question is whether the emotional link he has to Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) will prove to be his undoing?

Summer still loves Kyle, but he loves Lola. Theo liked Summer, who also liked him and she was open to developing her feelings.

Lola loves Kyle. She likes Theo and now seems to be fond of him as well.

Y&R fans see the possibilities. Lola and Theo grow closer, while Kyle and Summer continue to revisit their bond. Yes, Jabot will be the proxy setting for all that’s happening in minds and hearts of both cousins and the ladies they are connected to well into the new year.
