The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Theo Gets a Huge Opportunity – Jack’s Kindness Saves The Day

AMP in the post

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) attempt to gain Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) entire fortune will result in a forced settlement. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who does empathize with his newfound nephew’s plight, will balance the emotions of the situation.

Fans can expect Theo to receive something that allows him to leave Genoa City, Wisconsin. That will end this stint for the character that was created and introduced in the spring of 2019.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Pulls Thorn

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was not overjoyed when he saw that Theo (Tyler Johnson) was in town. They were shallow pals during Kyle’s stay in New York, which included a good bit of trouble, as Jack (Peter Bergman) referenced at the time.

After the recast, Theo became an increasingly present character and was someone who truly irked Kyle. The eventual reveal of Theo as Dina’s (Marla Adams) grandson, through his grandfather, Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert), was a stunner and served to set Kyle off. So, the exit of Johnson’s alter ego will naturally be welcomed.

Y&R Spoilers – Theo Vanderway’s Missed Opportunity

Theo created his own bad reputation when he teamed with Summer Newman (Hunter King) to down all things Kola. It would miss the point to say that Kola eventually collapsed because Kyle’s love for Summer proved out.

It’s never a good idea to challenge GC royalty, but that’s what Theo did. Then, after he eventually realized that his father, the late Eric Vanderway (a retrospective role that was never cast), was Dina’s son, Theo had already branded himself badly. And yes, that’s a reference to this character’s influencer profession.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Could Or Should Have Been

It’s hard to know if Y&R always intended Theo to be a limited-run role. The early change from Luken to Johnson surely confirms that this part was seen as noteworthy, based on the paternity storyline that played out.

Johnson is a solid actor, who will be missed. It seems that Theo could have been retained if he wouldn’t have been doomed to being the fated outsider. Scenes where he interacted with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appeared to be hopeful, as she’s one of the ultimate outsiders who carved a niche into GC. But Theo was never able to overcome his self-destructive ways.

Hopefully, Theo is written out in a way that allows an eventual return, as Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) remains a romantic option and the link to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is established. In the meantime, Jack can offer parting advice to his nephew. Theo needs to learn from what Dina’s final years proved, redemption is always possible if one is willing to be humble and offer love.

I like Theo much better than slimy, privileged Kyle. I would really love to see Theo return a great success story, having taken his grandmothers inheritance and opportunity from Jack to greater success. I want Theo to make Jack and Dina proud and in turn have his success turn him into a better person. It would be refreshing for a character to have their success change them for the better. I hope to see Theo again in the future successful, smart and dashing, sweeping GC's women off their feet with some french cultivated charm.

Who does Theo think is going to give him Dina's entire estate. He wasn't Dina's son. He was a grandson who probably wasn't even born when she left town. Dina wasn't ready for a child when she gave his Father up for adoption therefore she wasn't even close to his father. Let alone knowing of his birth. However, she did acknowledge that she had a child by leaving a small gift for him in the form of a pen set.

I wasn't exactly a Theo fan, but he did have valid points. he was just as much a grandchild as Kyle and Abby (and lets just ignore the fact that Jack has anthers son out there). Kyle took every opportunity to remind him that he isn't really family, even going do far as to try to deny him presence at the reading of the Will (despite the fact that his presence was requested by the lawyer). The last straw for me was when Ashley, when asked by Theo how Abby's wedding was, gleefully told him that it was "family only". Not inviting him for Dina's last moments. or including him in a small token of the distribution of the gem, was just cruel.

The Abbotts have treated Theo less than family. They treat Summer better than Theo and she is not family. Theo all the way.

    Like it.

Theo will be back. When he first came on, he and Summer became a couple. Kyle was really in love with Lola. After it came out that Theo was Dina's grandson, Kyle did not like it. Kyle did everything he could to make Theo feel like an outsider. Kyle really is a jerk.

I do hope the Y&R writers bring Theo’s character back stronger than ever. Behind the screens the writers could have Theo inherits the Brooks mogul media and come back a powerhouse.

Dina might not have been ready to raise a child when Theo's father was born so she gave him up for adoption. Dina did not forget her son and probably did love him, after all she did send monthly checks to his adopted parents. As well as she could doing her last days, she accepted Theo as her grandson.
