Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was suspicious of Billy (Jason Thompson) and had a right to be. He found a single earbud at the scene of the crime and matched it to its buddy at Chance Com. Billy’s personal gun was later discovered in a trash can outside of the building where Billy works. Plus, Chance Com’s rooftop offers a direct line view to the spot where Chance (Donny Boaz). jumped in front of Adam, which caused him to receive the wounds that were intended for the real target.

But Rey’s recent tell to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was revealing. He said that there’s something about this case that doesn’t feel right, meaning that Billy could be the victim of a frame.

Y&R Spoilers – The Shooter Is A Thief

Unless Billy was suffering from a blackout period, like he experienced in the recent past, he did not retrieve his gun from the home where Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is living with their children and use it to try and eliminate Adam. That implies the security breach at the house wasn’t a digital glitch. Instead, it means the shooter herself, or himself, or someone working with that person, stole the gun.

The premeditated, highly orchestrated setup of Billy means that someone with a grudge intended to tag him as the fall guy all along. So, who has a history of that type of behavior and was acting irrationally, nearly okaying the evisceration of Newman Towers? Adam.

But Y&R likely won’t reveal Adam as the real shooter because he would go to jail, instead of Billy, for a long period of time. Both guys are main characters and can’t actually be in prison for any significantly extended period, unless one actor is leaving the cast. There’s no known information in that regard.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Still The Target

So, Billy is in hot water. But Adam, who was the intended victim, is free as a bird. The true criminal will need to do something different to get Adam, without making what happens look like a hit.

The mystery shooter, be she Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico), Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) friend, Jordan (no last name known for the character who is portrayed by Madison Thompson), the widow of the man Adam accidentally killed in Las Vegas, Nevada, Y&R’s go-to side character villain, Ian Ward (Ray Wise), or someone else, still wants payback against Adam in response to whatever grudge is being held. That charged arrogance will cause this person to make at least one mistake and be revealed, which will clear Billy.
