The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, April 9 – Alyssa Meets Victoria – Sharon Needs Another Biopsy – Abby’s Construction Is Shut Down

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 9, tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will get some information about how things will proceed with her medical case. As Y&R viewers know, Sharon recently found out that her chemo treatments had not worked to shrink her tumor, and she’s been anxiously awaiting news on what her next steps are.

Well, on Thursday’s episode of the Young and the Restless, Sharon will catch up with her family and those closest to her at Crimson Lights. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will learn that the waiting is driving Sharon crazy, and she’ll call the doctor to see what’s going on.

Sharon will learn that her next step is another biopsy to see if the cancer has spread. She’ll inform Rey and Nick, and soon Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will arrive and hear the news. Everyone will rally around Sharon, and Rey will even decide to take time off work to help Sharon deal with what’s next.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Abby Newman’s Construction Project Is Shut Down By Phyllis Summers

Over at the Grand Phoenix, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will get some bad news. According to Y&R spoilers, she’ll learn that her construction on the new hotel is getting shut down. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will lurk around as Abby gets the devastating news. Abby and Phyllis will subsequently spar, and it will be clear that Phyllis had something to do with the shutdown.

Later, Nick will show up and Abby will be horrified to learn that Phyllis and Nick are back together. Nick will refuse to justify his decision to Abby, and Abby will end up leaving in a huff.

Other Y&R spoilers indicate that Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) will come to Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse looking for Adam. She’ll find Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), and the ladies will discuss the fact that Adam hasn’t published Alyssa’s article about her father’s death. Chelsea will make up an excuse, and she’ll try to offer Alyssa money, but Alyssa will view it as a bribe and Chelsea will take back the offer.

Meanwhile, over at Society, Adam will needle Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) over his new role as Newman Enterprises’ CEO. Adam will inquire as to whether Victoria will be staying on at the company, but Victoria will turn him down flat. The siblings will argue about Adam’s new direction for the company, and Victoria will take off.

Victoria will then get a call, which will prompt her to go to Chancellor Media and blast Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for canceling a visit with the kids and for calling the nanny rather than her. Billy will quickly learn that Victoria is no longer with Newman Enterprises, prompting Billy to gripe about Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) decision making. That will irritate Victoria, who will insist that she doesn’t need Billy fighting her battles.

Next on Y&R, Adam will take Victor’s portrait down in the CEO office, then he’ll sit behind the desk and put his feet up. Later, Adam will head back to the penthouse, where he’ll encounter and angry Alyssa. Alyssa will want answers about her article, and Adam will lie and say that he wants her article to be in a major national magazine. Alyssa will buy it, and she’ll leave.

Adam and Chelsea will chat, and they’ll determine that Alyssa has become a liability and that she’s never going to let this go. Adam will then get a text from Victor to meet back at the office, while Victoria will chat with Alyssa at the Grand Phoenix. Victoria will say that she and Alyssa know people in common – people who are not Alyssa’s friends.
