The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Thursday, August 20 – Adam Looks Into His Past – Nikki Becomes Newman COO – Victor Warns Nikki

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, August 20, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will speak with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) at the penthouse as he’s preparing to head over to Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house for his first memory recovery session. Adam will be glad that he’s got Chelsea’s support, but Chelsea will warn him that the whole process may take time.

Meanwhile, at Sharon’s place, she and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will chat about this being the day that Adam’s trial therapy sessions start. Rey will caution Sharon to take it easy, and he’ll point out that it could end up taking more energy than she thinks. Sharon will say that she knows her limits and that she’ll watch out for herself.

The Young And The Restless – Jack Abbott & Traci Abbott Prepare To Delve Into The Past

Next on Y&R, at the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will marvel at how quickly the Abbott home movies arrived from Paris. Jack and Traci will wonder what’s so interesting and important about these home movies that Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) wants to see.

In the park, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will chat and the topic of Adam will come up again. Chance will still be worried about Adam and how he’s faring since his departure as CEO from Newman Enterprises. Abby will assert that Adam isn’t the same person he was in Vegas and that he’s reverted back to the old Adam. But Chance won’t be on board with Abby’s theory, and he’ll want to check in on his friend.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Makes Nikki Newman A Lucrative Offer

Next on Y&R, at the Newman Ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will still be upset over Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) decision to sell off Newman Cosmetics and the media division to the Abbotts. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will tell Victor that Victoria got top dollar for the divisions, but Victor will assume that the move was about payback. Victor will head out for a ride while Nikki gets a call from Victoria asking her to come to Newman Enterprises.

When Nikki arrives at Newman, Victoria will stun her by asking her to be her right-hand and COO. Nikki will be hesitant, and she’ll bring up Victor, but Victoria will give her mom a big talk about how they could be a great power team at the company. Victoria will ask Nikki if she’s in or out.

The Young And The Restless – Adam Newman’s First Therapy Session Is A Bust

Next on Y&R, at Sharon’s place, Adam will arrive, and their therapy session will begin. Sharon will ask Adam to start simply by talking about his childhood and about the farm. Together, Adam and Sharon will talk about Adam’s routine on the farm, and Sharon will ask if there was any disruption in that routine around the time of AJ’s death. Adam won’t remember much, but he will remember feeling sad for Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) and her loss.

After some more talking about how Adam and Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) didn’t attend AJ’s funeral, Adam will start getting upset because he doesn’t remember any more details. Sharon will reassure Adam, and she’ll tell him to be patient. Adam will notice that Sharon seems tired, and he’ll leave, with not much accomplished during their first session.

Y&R Spoilers  – Chance Chancellor Checks In On Adam Newman

Next on Y&R, Chance will show up at Adam and Chelsea’s penthouse, but Adam won’t be there. Chance will inquire about how Adam’s doing, and Chelsea will promptly change the subject, leading Chance to assume that things aren’t great with Adam. After Chance goes, Adam will return and relay what happened during his session with Sharon. Adam will vow to keep looking for answers until the truth comes out.

Meanwhile, at Society, Jack and Abby will meet up and talk for a while before Traci texts Jack to come home. Jack will invite Abby to come with him, and when they get back to the Abbott mansion, they’ll watch a home movie, which will turn out to be of a young Dina Abbott (Cathy Marks) holding Jack as a baby while a young John Abbott (Jonathan Stoddard) narrates. Jack will be visibly moved by the scene, and later Jack will wonder if Dina wanted them to see that particular movie and hear John’s touching words about love and family being what matters.

The Young And The Restless – Victor Newman Issues A Warning To Nikki Newman

Finally, on Thursday’s new episode of Y&R, Nikki will return to the Newman Ranch to say that she’s the new COO of Newman Enterprises. Victor will be pleased since that means that Nikki can keep an eye on things at the company. Nikki will refuse to do that or to take sides, but Victor will warn her that at some point, she’ll have to pick aside.
