The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) are playing games with various people in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) are the targets.

Tucker proposed a deal to Phyllis that was not generous. He wanted to force her to do his bidding in return for Carson’s (no last name known for the Emergency Medical Technician played by Walter Belenky) perjured testimony.
But Tucker has applied pressure on Phyllis since making the offer, believing that she has not offered a respectful response. He and Ashley want Phyllis to subtly drive Diane crazy as part of their plan to jar Jack and destabilize Jabot.

This is hardly the first time that Ashley is battling with her brother. Their sibling rivalry dates back to when they were kids.
However, Diane’s return from the great beyond shook Ashley hard. Davidson’s character can not believe that Jack has again fallen for Diane’s shtick.

So, Diane appears to be the reason why Ashley became bitter. But there is another aspect of this storyline that lies slightly under the surface. Ashley is covering humiliation by taking Tucker back.

Longtime fans know that Tucker and Diane cavorted years ago. That led to Ashley divorcing him and never marrying anyone since.
Ashley was badly hurt by Tucker’s betrayal because the depth of her feeling for him was immeasurable. Whether he is the love of her life remains questionable. But it is fair to suggest that he is one of the great loves of her life.
Davidson’s character was devastated decades ago when learning that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) was not her biological father. While their relationship was not impacted, Ashley’s feelings for her mother, Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), were affected.

Tucker represented a reopening of a great wound. Trust has always been hard for Ashley, which is why she seeks control as a defense mechanism.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Holds Her Nose?
The idea of Phyllis siding with Diane is preposterous. But Stafford’s character would work with Jack for the right reason, meaning to stymie Tucker.
Jack abandoned Phyllis months ago and reunited with Diane. But he and his fiance share a common, current enemy in Tucker and Ashley. So, an alliance with Phyllis is plausible on Y&R.
