Key Takeaways

  • Nikki’s plan falls apart and she turns to Diane for a truce
  • Diane refuses and remains bitter over Jack’s betrayal
  • Malcolm’s condition worsens as family matches run out
  • Lily and her family refuse to give up hope
  • Cane makes a shocking discovery that could change everything

Nikki Newman’s Failure

Let’s start off with Nikki, who puts together a plan. However, it seems that Nikki’s plan fails. The blonde will turn to Diane for a peace offering.

Nikki might even figure that if Diane gets on board, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can be forgiven while making sure Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doesn’t win.

Diane Jenkins Abbott’s Rejection

However, Diane is way too bitter for any kind of truce. The woman throws the olive branch back in Nikki’s face.

Diane just can’t get over Jack sleeping with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), even if he was drugged.

It seems that this will give Jack and Nikki an opportunity to get even closer.

Malcolm Winters’ Fate

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, April 14 reveal that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) is not a match for Malcolm.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) can’t do it because of her own medical history.

Lily wants the twins tested, but what if they aren’t a match either? While Malcolm already seems accepting of whatever fate is handed to him, Lily and Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) won’t give up.

It seems they are running out of family matches, so they might have to find another way to look for a match.

Cane Ashby’s Discovery

As for Holden, he will open up to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) about his recent family discovery. Cane will be just as shocked as Holden.

However, I wonder if Cane will use Malcolm’s situation to earn redemption.

I could see Lily seeing Cane in a whole new light if he manages to save Malcolm’s life. While the old Cane would do this just to get Lily back, I do think the man has a good heart in there somewhere.

It could also be enough for the twins to finally forgive their father. It’s not clear if Cane is a match himself, or if he will use his connections to find one.

In either case, Cane could turn out to be a hero in this storyline, so stay tuned.

Which storyline are you looking forward to seeing the most on Tuesday, April 14, 2026?
