Key Takeaways
- Victor strikes back at Billy with a painful reminder of his past.
- Victoria works overtime to keep peace in her family.
- Nick struggles with sobriety.
Billy Abbott’s Painful Past
Let’s kick off this post with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). It seems that the Newman patriarch will give Billy a painful reminder about his past.
This could have something to do with Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono). Billy doesn’t talk about Delia’s death very much, but when he does, the pain and injustice really come out.

Of course, this could also be about Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). Billy has been jealous of Cane for years, and the situation doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
Victor knows how to push people’s buttons, which is clearly what he is trying to do with Billy.
Victoria Newman’s Peacekeeping
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, August 4 reveal that Victoria will try her best to keep peace within the family.
Since Victoria and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) work together later in the week, I wonder if the brunette helps out her half-brother.

Adam and Victoria have never gotten along in the past. However, Victoria does understand the thin line between loyalty to Victor and protecting other loved ones.
With Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) finally getting her sight back, Victoria might urge her father to focus on the positive.
Victor could agree to set it aside for now, but he won’t forget about it, that’s for sure.
Nick Newman’s Temptation
As for Nick, he will struggle with his sobriety. Fans watched as Nick had really bad nightmares about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). That is making staying in rehab even harder.
Now, drug dreams are pretty common in recovery, but they can be extremely hard to deal with. That’s because the brain doesn’t know the difference between the perceived threat and a real threat.
So for Nick, he could truly believe that his family is in grave danger while he’s in treatment. So, I wonder what kind of twists are going to happen as a result?
Will Nick leave rehab early and go after Matt? Could Nick end up turning back to drugs? This storyline could go in different directions, so stay tuned!
