The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update Friday, December 6: Connor Wants Rid of Sharon – Adam’s Dark Fear – Abby Caught with Stolen Jewels

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Friday, December 6, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will continue to fret over relationship issues. At Society, Nick catches up with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Their conversation eventually shifts to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) moving in with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), which Devon acknowledges is tough. There’s no easy way to say it, but Devon wonders how long Nick can go on like this.

Meanwhile, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) finishes his homework and is eager to spend time with his parents. He’s disappointed when he realizes he’ll have to meet with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) first. Connor listens nearby as Chelsea and Adam discuss doing whatever it takes to help their son.

Later, Connor draws and some of Sharon’s questions. He claims he was only scared of the dark when the power went out in the storm. Connor suggests that the monster’s gone, which pleases Sharon. She wonders if Connor’s willing to divulge how he made it go away.

Connor’s cagey at first, but he eventually reveals a chant he came up with – like casting a spell to ward off the monster. “Can’t beat three…Mom and Dad and Me.” Connor insists he says it over and over until the monster’s gone. Sharon’s taken aback that it works, but she’s glad Connor’s doing better. She’s hopeful their talks are helping as well, but Connor doesn’t think he needs them now.

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sharon Newman Has Handled The Monster

Since Connor’s handled the monster, he argues Sharon doesn’t have to come around anymore. Connor would rather be with Adam and Chelsea. Sharon points out that it’s good to have friends, but Connor counters that he can’t be with his mom and dad when he’s with Sharon.

At the coffeehouse, Adam worries that Connor’s inner monster may be a genetic thing. Chelsea confesses that there was a time she thought the Newman men had darkness running through their veins. However, she doesn’t feel like they should think of Connor that way.

Adam’s still concerned since he grew up in a loving home and still ended up doing horrible things. Chelsea argues that Adam was responding to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but Adam implies that maybe Victor just brought out his true colors. Chelsea’s adamant that Adam’s choices were to blame for his mistakes, but he wonders what that says about him.

After Chelsea assures Adam that he’s a good father who loves his little boy, she’s got an idea for some family fun. Adam and Chelsea leave, but they eventually swing back by for brownies at Crimson Lights. Back at the penthouse, Sharon fills Chelsea and Adam in on her session with Connor. She lets them know Connor feels like being with his mom and dad is the best medicine, but she seems a tad perturbed.

Next, Connor’s excited about the bag of treats they brought home for him. He also gets a special sports jersey so he can watch the game in style. Connor heads upstairs briefly, which gives Adam and Chelsea a chance to discuss him. They feel like Connor may have turned a corner, but they still want him to keep up his Sharon visits. Connor eavesdrops with a troubling glare on the stairs. He chants for Sharon to go away and repeats his “Can’t beat three” mantra.

At the Grand Phoenix, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) gets updates from “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz) before summoning Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Once Phyllis shows up, she wants to know what situation Abby called her about. Abby contends that Phyllis herself is the situation. Phyllis counters that she’s not a situation; she’s a state of mind.

Abby presents evidence that Phyllis spied and assumes she wanted blackmail material. Phyllis rants about being head of security and doesn’t think she did anything wrong. Abby vehemently disagrees and banishes Phyllis from the building. She wants Phyllis out of her life, but Phyllis reminds Abby that she’s got a suite upstairs.

Abby doesn’t get why Phyllis would even want to stick around, but Phyllis insists this hotel was her baby. After Abby gloats about how she got the goods on Phyllis with Chance’s help, Phyllis taunts her about her crush on Chance. That leads to a war of words over failed romances, but Phyllis ultimately leaves with a promise that she’ll be back.

Chance pops up again later and learns Abby fired Phyllis as she planned to. He also mentions how the robberies may have been an inside job and alludes to some theories. Chance plans to return for a drink with Abby soon. When he does, he smacks into Abby as she’s carrying a bag. Abby looks rattled as they look at all the stolen jewels, which have fallen out of the bag and onto the floor. Chance thinks that drink they agreed to will have to wait.

Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Newman Finds Out About Nick Newman Getting Fired

Back at Society, Phyllis finds Nick and grumbles about getting fired. She also offers to listen to Nick’s problems, so he opens up a bit. Nick feels like Adam’s using Connor’s situation to get closer to Chelsea. Phyllis understands this is painful, but she wonders if Nick’s sure he isn’t better off without her.

Nick’s stuck on Adam’s manipulation and pushes Phyllis to consider the idea that Adam’s manipulating he, too. Phyllis shuts that down since she makes her own choices and so does Chelsea. She wants Nick to see that Chelsea’s choosing to live with Adam and neglect Nick. Phyllis talks about Chelsea’s history of deception repeating itself, so Nick suggests it’s like Adam.

Just before Nick exits, Phyllis warns that he should get out before it costs him more than it already has.
