The great Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea Lawson) debut storyline centered on her conning Billy Abbott (then played by Billy Miller). The scam involved Victor having hired the then-con Chelsea to hit on Billy and trick him into her having his child, which she did.

Johnny Abbott (now played by Paxton Mishkind) was born. That served as one of the many split points during the various incarnations of Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). The current storyline between Billy and Chelsea serves as an interesting addendum to that historic storyline.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Sally represents a perceived threat to Victor that he can not respond rationally to. He always defaults to whatever his presumed failures were with women other than Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), and Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman).

Sally was worried when she realized there was a pregnancy question. It was not whether she was or was not but rather if Adam or Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was the father.

She foresaw the easy conflict Victor would seize upon. Already being distrusted, Sally was going to be viewed as pitting one of his sons against the other, and that was never her intent.

Adam and Nick love Sally, and Victor despises that. While no woman appears capable of meeting Victor’s invented standards, Sally has nothing that Victor feels is worthy to offer to the Newman legacy machine.

Adam will be outraged when learning what his father wants Sally to do. The reveal will also reinforce Adam’s hesitation to accept the McCall Unlimited job because he sees it as part of a manipulation pattern.
