The Moustache is intent on forcing Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) out of his life.

The ending to the last sentence is key. Victor believes that Ashland targeted him by using Victoria, which is true. But Victor’s problem is not just that Victoria fell in love with Ashland. Instead, it is that she knows what is true and has forgiven him.

Michael is Victor’s consiglieri. His recent rehire brings him back on board with Victor using his fixer to solve various issues.

The problem both men face is that they are reacting based on the grudges they have formed against the Lockeness Monster. Victor and Michael see him as a cartoon-like force rather than a worthy opponent. They also are not used to being bested, as they have been to date.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman In New York

Victoria went along with Ashland’s plan to leave Genoa City, Wisconsin. He said they could use the half-billion-dollar payout Victor offered to start fresh personally and in business.

As viewers recall, Victoria was playing Ashland at that point in the plot. She was conning him into signing a contract that would slice him from Newman-Locke, helping restore Newman Enterprises, and agreeing to an annulment. But that was then.

Following the horrific three-car crash that took Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) life, Victoria’s feelings began to shift. Then, after Michael helped Victor orchestrate the restraining order against Ashland, which bans him from being in contact with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), Victoria forgave the new love of her life.

They jetted to New York and are starting to implement the plans Victoria is now honestly endorsing.

Ashland has told all. Victoria will back him, potentially through to remarriage, unless other horrible reveals happen.

Victor single-handedly turned Ashland from someone Victoria distrusted into his champion. That has enflamed but also emboldened Victor to expand his pressure campaign.

Victoria believes that she needs to distance herself from Victor indefinitely. But how long will Victoria and Ashland be shown in what is presented as their New York setting?
