The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) invited Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to the Ranch for a sit-down. The topic of the meeting was informational with Nate being directly told that he will never be the Chief Executive Officer at Newman Enterprises.

Victor wanted Nate to know that he valued his ambition and did not agree with Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) assessment that he is a threat to the family business. But he also told Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) newest love interest that his stay in the executive office, while she and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are away on an emergency business trip, is purely temporary.
Nate got the measured message from Victor, who was recently included in a meeting where the Moustache reestablished that he makes all final calls for Newman Enterprises.

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) stopped by the Genoa City Athletic Club. She took him a that was dropped off downstairs.
During Audra’s conversation with Nate, she mentioned Victoria’s status in Victor’s heart. She is his namesake and clearly can be tagged as his Golden Child.

Victoria’s problem with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) involves the attention Victor gives him. Victoria is okay with whatever attention Nick and Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway) receive, within limits. But Adam is a different calculation.

Victoria was hoping Nate was effective when backing his plan to encourage CW’s initial public stock offering. Their plan was for Newman Enterprises to gain controlling interest and take control of the company Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton Hamilton Winters) own.
Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) were shocked when Nate voluntarily confessed his plan and said he was pulling it. He also protected his powerful backer’s identity, which furthered Victoria’s confidence.
Nate has confided in Audra, telling her that he saw himself running Newman Enterprises with Victoria. That happened. But Victor has set limits on how far Nate can go on Y&R.
