The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) experience with Aristotle Dumas (no actor known to be cast for this role) years ago is significant. He believes this unseen character, whom Victor never saw, is aiming for Newman Enterprises.
Viewers are watching the seemingly slow-drip introduction of a character. However, Aristotle has already been seen and might be in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
Speculating about which past or current character would be like trying to determine why Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) believes Victor is a replacement father figure when he’s not. Suffice it to say, using a cliché, Aristotle could be anyone, including a genuinely new character that an actor will portray.
Billy Abbott Is Being Used
Victor isn’t right about specific points, but is correct when assessing Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) connection to Aristotle. That corporatist wouldn’t reach out to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) little brother for any reason other than to use him.
It feels like Aristotle, or whoever contacted Billy under that guise, wants to leverage the angst against Victor. What Michael has learned about Aristotle’s interest in Chancellor and Winters Incorporated implies that his main goal is broad.
Billy might become the Chancellor’s restored head if Aristotle felt the company could be obtained and passed off to him. Alternatively, Billy could work at a division within Aristotle’s corporate behemoth.
Abby Newman’s Presence Is Explainable
It was good to see Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) return to the cast. This longtime stalwart was dropped to recurring status in recent months, which led to her character supposedly exploring Europe.
Seeing Abby visit her father at the new Ranch house wasn’t unusual. Many Newmans pay homage to the man who has provided them with a lush lifestyle, which offers earned respect.
Sharing intel about Aristotle with Abby was purposeful. He wants her to remain on guard, but also knows she has the most direct link to Winters Incorporated through her husband, Devon Winters (Bryton James).
Devon doesn’t like Victor’s methods but values his business acumen. He does appreciate what will likely prove to be another suitable warning about the man Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) works for.
Victor Newman Isn’t Prepared To Lose
Projecting a climax where Aristotle takes control of Newman Enterprises would be a significant guess. Braeden remains the lead character on this soap opera, and Victor is the king of this Midwestern city.
Yet, that type of storyline would be powerful. Plus, Victor could always wrestle control back.
The story of the Ashland Locke (last played by Robert Newman) involved a hybrid partnership between that character and Victor. This angle would be different, with Aristotle plotting to take power from Victor by targeting Newman Enterprises.
